Q: Does this fit 2012 yamaha FJR?

I believe the FJR uses 7/8 OD bars, so this would be too large. We do make a version of these dampers for 7/8” bars however so that is the version you would want.

Q: what is the long cap srew for?

It goes the the threaded bushing. When you screw in the bolt it draws the bushing and compresses a rubber boot the expands to hold the weights in place.
