Q: Is the 1x minipcie (wifi) microsim slot used to add wifi capabilities to the router?

The microsim is unrelated to wifi. It's connected to the m.2 slot to allow 3g/4g modems to be used. The miniPCIe slot can be used to add a compatible wireless mini pcie.

Q: Can this handle over 1gig internet? I have 1200mbps and would not like to slow that down

Yes, With a comparable spf transceiver that supports 1.2gbps. I’ve seen full 1.2 from Comcast during initial setup. It’s not simple to test as all of its ports are gbe.

Q: can i return this item for a full refund. i purchased it in 2019? and it is turning on and off randomly
