No, you don't need to change your tombstone sockets since these are double-end powered LED lights. Just make sure that the 11-3/4" fits with your fixture and also the voltage of your fixture is 110/120V AC.

Q: In my RV these lights would be connected to the engine battery. would i still need to wire differently or just simply put in.?

This type is a 110/120VAC type. For your RV, you should buy from the other link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B018CFQE4A, which is a 12-30VDC type. Your RV battery has a 24VDC so you cannot use it with a 110/120V AC LED light.

Q: What does rotatable mean?

It means that once you have installed the LED light, you can adjust the light forwarding angle by +- 90 degrees. For some light fixtures especially under cabinet ones, the rotatable feature is very useful.

Q: It says it's for 12-30v. Can I use this to switch out a bulb in the standard 120v light switch?

No! It won't last for 1 second if you connect a 12-30V DC bulb to the 120V power supply. Please choose the 110-120V AC type for home by clicking the correct style box. Make sure that you understand these bulbs need ballast removal and fixture rewiring to work.
