Is there a weight limit on this product? I weigh close to 300 lbs and want to be sure it could support my weight.

I believe there is a weight limit, but don't know what it is off hand. Should have that info in the product description. It is NOT a full size Cajon.

Are the snare wires supposed to be covered with a fabric or is that something put on there for shipping. I'm wondering if it would be a little loud ?

The fabric is simply to preserve the snare wires and give the cajon a tighter response.
