Wow, it works really well!! I hope the filter really lasts 5 years. Definitely pills odor and dust out of the air. Nice steel casing and it’s quiet on the low mode.

This air purifier is excellent and not really that noisy

We love Austin Air purifiers. This is our 3rd. The other two are much larger and have been running perfectly, every single day for the past two years. We decided to get the mini for our daughter’s room since our pets tend to spend most of their time there.You’ll have to be okay with white noise. It’s not completely silent. Definitely easy to get used to. Well worth it. You can’t beat Austin Air.

It's not exactly noisy, but it's not quite either. It makes a pretty audible whooshing sound. I have a larger model from the same company, and that one is whisper quiet on low. This one is quite audible, even on low.It gets 3 stars because it does a pretty good job of cleaning the air. That is, of course, important, but I don't know if I can deal with the constant whirring. I may have to return it.

Occasionally makes a whistling noise while in use. Austin recommended “To address the whistling noise, try slightly depressing the cord that you see in the gap, that runs in-between the top and bottom portion of the unit”I greatly value their products and was surprised at their response
