My bottle doesn't have a seal. Is it meant to be sealed underneath the cap?

I believe mine was only sealed with plastic over the cap.

Why 6g added sugar & a preservative??

Yes, I was wondering about that too. 6 gms of sugar is 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar in two teaspoons of the cough syrup!!!
