Indispensable for interior designers
I've already used this book several times for different interior design projects. Instead of guessing, or running around your own home with a tape measure, use the measurements and diagrams in this book to be confident in your plans and design schemes. It tells you things like: how bunk beds should be spaced, how much floor space you need for a six seater table, what height a desk should be etc etc. There are also chapters on commercial design like laying out cafes, offices and leisure spaces. I love it's retro feel too.

Thorough!
A thorough and thoroughly useful text for Interior Design students and practitioners, and many other designers from linked disciplines such as furniture design, architecture etc. Written for American and European users as both imperial and metric measurements are given however the use of cm rather than the interior design/architectural standard of mm results in the 4 stars.

I bought this as a reference book for my small library
What a great idea that somebody has thought about all of this and put it down in a book
