I've used this mount for a couple years now, and its really the best one for full versatility in setting up your GoPro filming angle and then stays put when you tighten everything down. You can even use the plastic plate to strap a few other things if needed. The Velcro straps are strong and wide. The only real drawbacks are it is a little heavy so if you are a backpacker and every ounce counts, this might not be for you. Of course the light ones are a little flimsy, your camera will move all around, so I prefer the extra weight and a more solid experience. After 2 years a piece of the adapter on the ball joint cracked off, which seems to happen to all GoPro mounts after a while. I was able to still use in on my trip with a work around and ordered 2 replacement ball mounts for $10 on Amazon. Fully recommend.

This GoPro mount works like a champ, we went on Mount Olympus (yes, in Greece!) and around Athens and other ancient sites. It is well built, easy attachment and once it is locked in position, it holds it very well. If you are a hiker or a good walker, this would fit your needs. Recommended! And it is Made in USA, which is a great plus!

This mount is built like a tank, but not too heavy. It comes with a 3 prong GoPro-style mount head and 2 different tripod-type mount heads. Any of the heads can be mounted on the base in either the top, middle or bottom of the base. The base is secured to your backpack strap via 2 heavy duty hook and loop (Velcro-type) straps. The double ball-and-joint style arm allows for a variety of adjustments to fine tune the location of your camera and when really tightened down, is secure and stable.I purchased this to mount my hand-held Feiyutech G6 gimbal (holding my GoPro) to my back pack strap to allow hands free operation. I can easily take my gimbal off the mount to use in hand, but when i want both of my hands free, i just attach it to this shoulder mount and I am good to go. I am very happy with the high quality of this mount especially considering the low cost. I am about to take it on a international trip and put it through its paces ziplining, horseback riding, hiking etc and will update here with my results.

Just the other year we went to our first skiing/snowboarding trip and wanted to capture all the fun. After all said and done, this camera mount help me capture our trip. It was so cool to relive the experience from a first person view. It was easy to use just a little weird setting it up because I'm not the most flexible person. But overall worked out perfect without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!!!

I really like this backpack mount! It doesn't slide down the strap and is quite adjustable. I tried it on various backpacks and found it works best with a chest strap since it pulls the camera closer to the centerline of your chest for a better straight-on shot. I also followed the tips and mounted my gopro upside down so it doesn't fight gravity. It seemed more stable and less obtrusive mounted upside down. It's also extremely easy to use and the only part that you need to keep track of is the single screw to attach the camera. Overall it's the best backpack attachment I've ever used.

Holds and Action Camera firmly to a backpack strap. All the Stuntman mounts I own are of the highest quality. I'm a Fan.

I took this on a recent white water rafting trip and it did work great! However, I couldn't strap it onto my life jacket like onto a backpack. The bands are not stretchy at all and only allow a really small strap to wrap around. I was able to fandangle it to work on the front of my life jacket strapped to the cross straps and it works on top of my helmet. So I really liked it and through it worked well I just think the straps could be a little more flexible.

This product is very versatile. It comes with enough adapters to attach the GoPro or a Gimbal with the GoPRo or other type of action camera that has a tripod thread. It has three locations where you can actually place the camera so it can be higher, middle or lower part of the strap. Fist I though it was not going to be steady enough. Boy was I wrong. I strapped it to my camera back pack and it didn't move. It is rock solid steady. I like the ball joint because it allows almost unlimited positioning of the camera. The camera is also solid in place one you tighten it. The base is curved so you can put it on either side of your body as well as higher or lower on the straps. Depending on the cushion of your backpack straps you might not even feel the base. I didn't feel it at all on mine. I am now ready to go on my two week trip and be able to record video of where I am going and have two free hands.
