We have used this Clam base several times and it is wonderful. I recently added a tablespoon to my Clam Dip and it really enhanced the flavor. When we make potato soup in a large pot we add a couple of quarts of clam juice instead of water. To make the final tweak on flavor, we use this clam base a little at a time to adjust it to perfection. Great product

I am a retired chef who still cooks daily, my soups are always in demand. I have always used Minor's bases for my cooking with great results. For some reason Minor's clam base has not been available at my local restraunt supply for some time so , So, I decided to try this product.I added a little bit at a time to my clam chowder recipe, since there were no instructions on how much to use.This product is nothing but a salt bomb, it added no clam flavor, it made the soup smell awful.Not only did it not enhance the flavor of the soup as the Minor's does, it made the soup inedible.I had to throw away a ton of expensive ingredients i.e cream, butter, clams, clam juice, potatoes etc.Trust me this is by far one of the worst products I've come across in my 50+ years as a chef.
