This product does not have stop leak, it contains seal conditioner which is very different.. and to answer your original question this product contains dexron 6 base oils and Mercon 6 base oils and that's why it's a multi vehicle fluid it probably also contains a few other oils of their choice to make it their own special blend..

i've used valvoline max life p/s fluid & it has worked fine. I've not tried the trans. fluid. I always use valvoline trans. fluid in the blue bottle. as far as the rating, you can use the higher # in older transmissions. Not visa-versa. if it calls for dexron 4 , you can use 4,5,6,7etc. the higher the # the more it costs so if you can find dexron 4 (IV), it may be cheaper.
