Jabsco in-Line Non-Return Valve - 3/4"

I saw some reviews of this were not favourable so I waited a year before making a review - it is installed in a grey water sump on a boat and it has now worked for over a year without a problem.

I'm using it as a anti-siphon valve on a jetski bilge, with a side exit. Works like a dream! No backwash, and no pressure against the pump.

Easy installation inline on bilge pump. Very low back pressure, does not seem to inhibit the flow. Lightweight and small footprint.

Works pretty good but it's starting to leak so I've got to take it apart and find out why.

Looks like a nice piece but when hooked up, leaked at the seams between each of the bolts. The components are not of sufficient strength to maintain a leak proof seal. the plastic between each of the bolts flexes sufficiently as to allow the rubber seal within to leak. I believe all units sold as they continue to age will bend under time and allow leakage to take place. My assumption is that the unit I receive was on a shelf for some time and the product flexed causing the leakage. I hope people that have installed this unit continue to check for leakage otherwise they may be surprised with a bad situation one day.

This item was exactly as discribed and I am quite pleased with it. Was used with a battery backup for sump pump.
