One of the best and simplest contraptions I've ever bought -- I bought a set for my Mom too. We use them to open cat food cans, which can be hard on the nails and fingers. The thin part goes right under the tab and then latches to the pin on the other side, making a perfect lever for opening the cans.

Elderly relative is OK with this. Glad I got a 4 pack since she manhandles it pretty bad. I have very bad arthritis myself but am a little more dexterous and don't have long finger nails like her, so don't need as much brute force to open things. The four pack for a good price is a good value.

Simplest, yet most effective pop top opener I have ever used. Slips under the ring easily, push forward a little, and lift. Presto, lid is open. Now just remove lid from can (used on small and large cat food cans). Don't waste your $$$ on any of the other gimmicky openers out there. Why can't American business invent something that works this easily?
