Works great on my old Champion winch and it has enough length. Since I had done many rescues on vehicles on steep ditches or cliff sides. The person operating the winch needs to get closer to the edge and the pulling car needs to be as far as possible. Tight fit as well which you need with all that jerking motion

It's nice to have the ability to operate the winch outside of the utv, instead of sitting in it pushing the button.

The winch control was easy to install on my can-am defender, just plug it in. Works great but with one minor complication. The control has an in and out printed on the switch and when the IN is pressed it is actually out and OUT is actually in.

I lost my remote for my old Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 40764 winch. The connector of the new remote fit fine, but the the IN/OUT were reversed. The common, +12V (blue wire) was OK. I took the remote apart and cut the brown and yellow wires and swapped them. Works great now. Seemed dangerous to have the IN/OUT reversed in a panic situation. Probably would have worked to simply reverse the battery leads, but I would forget the next time I used it. The Chicago Electric winch motors are 2-wire motors.

This wired remote control for our CanAm 4500 winch fit perfectly. Seller, Jet Skis International did a great job depicting the plug and pin out of the connector on the website. As there are several different plugs and configurations I was able to discern the correct one for my winch. 5 Stars JSI. One other cudo for this company. I was impressed with the information included on the invoice ie. Contact info including 800 phone number and a note; if there is any problem, please reach us directly for a resolution. Now that’s great customer service!

Greatest $20 I could have spent on my Defender. Under the hood it has a place to coil the cord and a little snap in spot for the remote. Honestly, I can’t believe Can-am didn’t include one when I bought the damn 24k thing. It’s the first purchase I have been able to make for my rig that was less than a $100. Don’t hesitate. It’s a solid remote.I have a 2018 can-am defender hd10. Works like a charm.

Based on another review, I ordered this switch for my 2018 Polaris 1000 as the three prong plug appeared to be the same as the socket in my RZR. After I received the switch, I plugged it in and it works great? Polaris owners take note. The seller may want to indicate that this switch fits more products than just the Can-Am. Great value too.
