Wonderful steamer BUT...
It's a great steamer IF you don't forget you're steaming something and let all the water steam out of your pot. Multiple people have complained that the steamer melts. Come on, people. NO, the steamer won't melt if using correctly by having enough water in your pot and you don't let the water dry up with the stove still on. I just melted the steamer tonight after previously flawless use, because I completely spaced out and wasn't by my stove when the timer sounded. Completely my fault. Pros: food doesn't stick, no annoying middle stem, easy lift handles, large space to steam many things at once. Cons: better suited for use in a larger pot, can melt if left in pot with no water on a heating burner. Not sure if I'll repurchase, but it was a great steamer before I accidentally burned it.

Silicone Good... Weebles wobble but... So what.??!!!
I was looking for a good quality steamer that would last. I did NOT want rust.... I did NOT want something that would come apart in use. I wanted a steamer that I could easily use and that would not cause me any grief. I found exactly what I wanted. Now granted, this steamer is a bit on the "spendy" side compared to some of the little metal ones. But it has great handles and it folds and fits conveniently into smaller pots. It is very heat resistant and works just as good as it looks. I tried it in a smallish 2 quart pot and it fit okay. The sides fold in on themselves and allow it to work as designed...although the capacity is reduced when used like this. If you use it in a larger pot, it holds more.. I found I could manage the handles without burning myself as long as I was careful. The steamer holds its shape well as long as YOU hold onto both handles. It has room for about one inch of water under the steamer....which is plenty for most applications as long as you watch it and don't allow it to cook completely dry.I would prefer to have slightly longer legs, but if you added additional length there, it would cause the overall height to stick up more and possibly interfere with the lid.... So it's a tradeoff. I will gladly accept it the way it is. This steamer is best used in a larger pot than I use. A three or four quart pot would allow more internal room for food, keep the overall height usable, and allow more volume for steaming water. NOTE: This steamer is a rubber material (Silicone..). If you don't observe due diligence and you allow the pot to boil dry..... Well, your steamer will not survive that much dry heat. While there is water in the pot, the actual temperature inside the pot is limited to the boiling point of water (more or less... there is a temperature variation called "latent heat")...which keeps the silicone from self-destructing. If the pot boils dry, the temperature rapidly goes up and the silicone will eventually melt to the pot. It really doesn't take very long to steam most things, so just watch it while it is on the stove and you will not have any problems. So, five stars for a well conceived and well constructed item. It does the job, and does it well. If you don't mind paying a little more for a better "mousetrap", then you will really like this steamer. Nice item...

Works fine, just need a larger pot
I wish it was smaller so it would fit into a small saucepan, but it fits fine into larger one, easy to lift out, easy to clean, carries just as much as metal ones do & goes in dishwasher.

Works quite well, even if it looks like a space-alien.
OK, this thing looks a bit like it came from a SciFi cartoon, right? But it works great, does NOT stick to the bottom of pots, and fits in every single pot we have, even a large stock pot.The handles fold over in the pot, and if you wear gloves, the steamer is quite easy to remove while hot.I recommend using some kind of tongs for vegetables, better than trying to get out all at once.Rolls up to fit inside any of the pots for storage, too.

Best basket steamer
After having the metal basket steamers back to back to back and them always falling apart this one is amazing. Love the handles, and how it’s not hot to the touch. It steams veggies very well and quick. I would say it would fit into most medium size pots. And it folds up nicely for storage in my drawers. Wish I would have found this sooner and not wasted my time with the metal ones. I would buy this as a gift for my friends and family.

This needs a fairly large pot
It said you could use this in a 2 quart pot but I ended up having a scalded pot and steamer.i was able to clean the pot and the steamer but this definitely needs a roomer pot.thought about returning it but will give it one more chance- it is easier to clean I wanted this for quick vegetables as I have a large steamer pot but it takes up half the dishwasher so I just wanted a quick way to steam a one zucchini or some carrots .- I bought a 4 quart pot and it fits better in there.Check the water level always

Love it!!
I really am loving this steamer ! I needed to start cooking my baby solids and instead of spending a ton of money on a baby food system to steam, I just purchased this and use it in a saucepan I already have. The vegetables and fruits have steamed very quickly and it’s very easy to clean. I like that it rolls up and I love that it is silicone. Overall it’s great value for your money! It might be on the pricier end but trust me OXO products do not disappoint.
