Q: Can you grow yeast on these plates?

Yes. TSA is a general purpose growth medium and will grow a variety of microorganisms including many types of yeast. There are, however, other selective agars that are better suited for cultivation of certain yeasts and molds like MEA, YPD and SabDex. It really depends on what you're trying to grow, but TSA is a good place to start.
