Used to mold a hood of a model

I bought this to repair an outdoor garden statue that had been dropped and broken. Just squeezed some of this into the hole, let it harden, then the next day I applied more to the contours of the statue. Viola! Repaired!I had used this with military models in the past and had always liked the end results.Oh, just be sure to use this away from flames or ignition sources—and with plenty of fresh air! This stuff is quite volatile until dry.I highly recommended Testors Contour Putty!

Based on what others had told me about this product in modeling forums, I used it reluctantly to fill in a gap. The sense of trepidation was unwarranted. It performed very well. There was little shrinkage. Once I sanded down the putty with very fine paper (600 grit), it took the applied enamel paint with no problem.

Maybe a bad title for this review, it is a good product.Not as good as some of the more well known fillers but much cheaper.Shrinkage is acceptable, most noticeable it struggles to prevent voids due to its somewhat course texture.If you have large gaps to fill it would serve well as a base to fill the majority and then top it off with some of the good stuff.But it’s ok for smaller cracks as well, just harder to work with there.

The only complaint I ever have the filler putty is it's difficult to use and takes far far too long to setup and dry. Other than that it's a great product and once you get it where you want it it's tough as stone.

Recently purchased some arts and crafts materials, that I needed some special putty for, and went to every arts and crafts store in my area and couldn't find it. Went on Amazon and found it in less than 5 seconds! The moment I got it, I used it on not only my arts and crafts supplies, but also on a tennis racket to refurbish it, and why does it work great!
