The fit is true to size. I'm a big fan of these shorts. They're made from a lightweight fabric that has a bit of stretch, which I like. What I particularly appreciate is the fabric panel behind the velcro fly. It's a thoughtful touch that ensures no unexpected mishaps if the velcro loses its grip over time.

Fit is great and it looks good. The only thing I would say is to add pockets. I have to carry my wallet in my hand if I need to keep it on me and that is inconvenient to say the least.

I really like these shorts and I still wear them, just not to the beach. They fit loose in the waist, which is unusual. I wear a 44 and most pants/shorts I order are tight if anything. Could probably drop down a size for better fit around the waist, but then I would worry they wouldn't fit in the thigh area. The material has no flex at all, so the loose fit below the waist is nice. They are comfortable, but trying to keep them up in the ocean is a pain. Work ok in the pool, but still have to adjust frequently. Will probably end up just wearing them around the house.
