Ora-Blend SF is a unique suspending vehicle ideally suited for use in the preparation of oral, non-soluble (suspended), aqueous dosage forms. It is a buffered, sweetened, sugar-free vehicle containing an antifoam agent and suitable preservatives. Ora-Blend SF is buffered to an acidic pH to provide a vehicle which is consistent and predictable for extemporaneous compounding needs. Review: Great for medication compounding - The liquid is either to work with and incorporates in with most meds. Sweetener is mild and should be used with additional flavoring to balance the taste. Review: Solid product - re-suspend powdered form and remove the bitter taste - Excellent suspending vehicle, formulated to work with a lot of substances. No observable settling when used, and minimal bubbles / foam when shaking preparations. Taste strikes a nice balance of masking any remaining bitter taste from the powdered form (which is significantly muted by the formulation itself) while not being overpowering. Have not seen any issues with anti-microbial agents underperforming - suspensions have held perfectly (refrigerated and expiry dated with conservative dating). Highly recommend, particularly given the super affordable price point (about $27 at time of review) and same-day delivery.
