Wrongfully out of print
This is a classic that is wrongfully out of print. Bugs Potter is the living embodiment of confidence and grace; his buddy, the main character is a nervous nellie who must learn to cut loose. Incredible scenes of chutzpah and transcendence. But then again, I read it last maybe 25 years ago.

Almost the best Gordon Korman.
I read this when I was about 13. Awesome book. Awesome author. Spoke to what I was thinking /dreaming at the time and hit the mark . Bought it for my 10 year old. Gk rocks. Greatest teen author of my sheltered childhood.

Love the Series
Enjoy the series, sad that it's out of print, and one of the books didn't even make it to the states!

An Uproarious Classic
The finest high school musicians from across the United States and Canada have been gathered in Toronto for a fine classical performance. Among these musicians is one David "Bugs" Potter, drummer: well-intentioned, rock-obsessed, oblivious, impulsive. With sweet, worried roommate Adam Webb in tow, Bugs has plans to live it up in Toronto that far exceed the drab museum/opera-focused agenda of severe director C. Fenton Darby. After all, the greatest bands are all in town, and so is glamorous movie star BiBi Lanay, wearing her fabulous (possibly cursed) Falusi Emerald. Still, what could a 15-year-old kid, even one as headstrong as Bugs, do amid such a busy rehearsal schedule? Surely not become the hottest, most mysterious drumming sensation on the planet while thwarting a pair of jewel thieves -- or can he?"Who is Bugs Potter?" is quick-moving, enthralling, vivid, and sensationally hilarious. I first picked it up when I was 10 and was soon hooked, with the climactic ending causing me to grin from ear to ear. I'm 30 now, and I still reread it whenever I'm ready to jump into a good mood. This is as fun as a middle grade book gets. Better yet, there's a sequel: "Bugs Potter LIVE at Nickaninny." (Because you're just not ready to say good-bye yet to Bugs when this book concludes.)P.S. If you didn't know Gordon Korman's name before, now you know it. Read all of his books: "Son of Interflux," "A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag," "No Coins, Please," the Bruno & Boots series, "The Toilet Paper Tigers," and onward!

Excellent - hilarious
Excellent. One of Gordon Korman's standalone novels, not part of a continuing series, "Who is Bugs Potter?" chronicles the adventures of Adam and Bugs as they meet bands, play concerts, thwart jewel thieves, and attempt to meet movie stars. A fantastic book for kids (and grown-ups!)

Lost book deserving of being found
It would be impossible to quibble with the price, and the condition of the book was as advertised. The book was delivered a bit later than expected, but I'll attribute that to the border crossing process. As for the book itself, though it adheres to certain early-period Korman formulae (most obviously in its use of a Bruno-and-Boots-style pairing for its two main protagonists), it's as inventive and funny as anything else in the author's oeuvre. While it's sad that the Bugs Potter books are out of print, it's good to see that they can still be found here.Kudos to Amazon and its marketplace for helping to keep this book alive.
