Beautiful, huge, quality, affordable sink!
I LOVE this sink! We've been using it in our newly remodeled kitchen for 2 months and I have mostly praise for it: **Pros: 1) AFFORDABLE! We priced out the competition with fewer features (no grate or drain mechanism) at much higher price points ($799+, and then + accessories). I wouldn't claim this sink is higher quality than one of the higher-end competitors, but it certainly seems like a better value. It's a quality sink, very durable and looks amazing. 2) HUGE. I mean really, really big. I knew the dimensions when I ordered it but visualizing the size and actually seeing it installed surprised me. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But be prepared for the size. It holds even my largest cutting boards and roasters for easy cleaning. I don't wash loads of dishes in it so I haven't attempted to fill it up but if you hand wash dishes frequently you might want to consider how much water it will take to get enough in there to wash dishes. 3) It's beautiful. It's sleek, has clean lines and just really looks great! I've received multiple compliments already. I'm all about function over beauty, but I'll admit that I just love the look of this sink. 4) Cleans easily and is scratch-resistant. I cook a lot and am tough on all of my kitchen tools, including my sink. It's only been two months but I've banged plenty of pots/pans/roasters in it (Thanksgiving) and my husband has even cleaned a few paintbrushes in it (much to my horror!). It cleans up nicely on a daily basis and tougher spots buff out quickly. It seems like it will withstand quite a beating with a reasonable amount of wear. 5) It's packaged amazingly well! I unpacked everything upon arrival to inspect it and it was perfect...the sink was in a nice, soft bag surrounded by foam with the other parts in a separate box packed away from the sink. I've had glassware delivered with less protection! **Things to consider (these are not "Cons" for me, but might be for others): 6) It has a very interesting strainer mechanism, one I was not expecting at all. It's kind of like a deep hinge-handled "basket" that catches your scraps. The stopper is a separate piece. I like it. I don't typically fill my sink so just having the strainer option is a plus. Plus the basket holds more and is easier to clean than the traditional style (no center post to work around). And when I insert it I don't inadvertently put it in the "stop" position and have to reposition it. Some people will like this, some won't. I personally think it's a plus. 7) The grate is a snug, perfect fit. I'm so, so happy I read almost every review and question before purchasing! I read that the grate is tight and could be an issue if you have stone counters with a lip. When they came to template for Quartz I was very specific to tell them I needed a straight cut for the sink, no overlap at all. Their standard was a small lip. Had they done that I most certainly would have run into issues with the grate (I would need to tilt it when removing or cleaning underneath). As long as you consider this and plan accordingly, it is not an issue. I love the modern look of the flush cut sink and would absolutely do it again. However I would have been very annoyed if my stone had been cut with a standard lip and I was struggling with the grate daily. 8) I'm going to jump back to the size for a minute. It's long, wide and deep. Which I love. But the depth come with a small price. A) if, like me, you were hoping for a single/double pull out garbage for under your sink, good luck with that. I've tried 3 brands/sizes and because of the depth of this sink, they don't fit by as little as 1/8". If anyone finds one to fit a standard height kitchen base cabinet please message me!! I have had no luck so have a freestanding barrel under the sink. Bummer, but not a dealbreaker. B) I am 5'6" and if I'm washing many dishes in the sink it can take a toll on your back. You are definitely reaching down into the sink to get your work done. Taller folks might want to consider this when purchasing. ** Cons: 9) As many reviewers have already stated, the pitch in this sink isn't enough to move the food and water into the strainer. You WILL swirl items around with a sprayer a few time and then probably still have to use a sponge to coerce the scraps away. It's annoying. I don't like it and I wish it was designed differently. HOWEVER, I love almost everything else about this sink so much that I can overlook this flaw. Summary: With a few exceptions, this is a wonderful sink. Considering the (comparably) reasonable price tag, I'm willing to accept the flaws in exchange for it's affordable beauty and functionality. I would purchase it again.

Great value and high end look
The sink was easy to install. Super nice quality stainless. Deep and great size for sides. Looks high end for the price point!

Sleek, sexy, silent and very functional!
Can a sink be described as “sexy”?? This one absolutely can! We just remodeled our kitchen and when it came to sink design, I wanted a single pan farmhouse sink, but hubby, who washes the dishes insists on having a sink full of soapy water. I compromised with this 60/40 Kraus stainless with a low dividing wall. It looks sleek and stylish... sexy really. I was slightly concerned that the square design might have tight corners that would be hard to keep clean but they are rounded just enough to not catch food in them and can be wiped clean easily. The bottom is angled toward the drains so water does not stand in the bottom. The drains are toward the back of the sink - again just a beautiful design. Stainless sinks are notoriously noisy... especially with water from the faucet. NOT THIS ONE! It is just as quiet as my old porcelain sink thanks to the insulation around the entire undercarriage. The sink comes with wire racks that have rubber feet (extra feet included) that prevent scratches on the bottom and matching stainless disc covers that sit slightly elevated above the holes so you can’t see the pipes. Love these! I love that you don’t have to look down into the garbage disposer! Water and small bits of debris washes down easily with them in place. It comes with a very nice strainer basket for the non-disposer side. My only complaint is that if you have a garbage disposer, (as if anyone buying this sink would not...) this sink doesn’t come with a ring that matches the sink that holds the disposal. Which I understand... every disposer is different. But, as long as you have the pretty discs in place, you can’t see the “inSinkerator” ring. This sink is big. I can lay a 9x13” casserole baking dish flat in the large side and let it soak. The low dividing wall is not only gorgeous, but you can lay cookie sheets or cutting boards in the sink and easily clean them. I’m able to use the interior racks as a dish drying rack for my clean pots & pans. As with all stainless, water spotting is an issue. This sink comes with a cool microfiber drying cloth for this purpose and it has a removable metal ring in it that lets you hang it up on a hook. I’ve found that after cleaning and drying, buffing the sink with a little lemon oil makes it shine like a new car and keeps water spots down for a few days till it’s time to reapply. Plus it smells amazing. I purchased the Kraus black mat Industrial faucet shown here, also from Amazon and it’s match made in heaven!!!

Very nice sink at an excellent price point.
Review date 2/9/17: Excellent value for a sink that appears very well constructed with high attention to detail. I'm pleased with this purchase especially for the price paid. ONLY feedback would be on the drain assembly included. Before I get into that let me say that overall the design and stainless construction of the drain interior appear to be very well done. Assuming the metallurgy is the same as claimed by the sink manufacturer the drain assembly should give many years of rust free dutiful service. The feedback portion relates to the plastic piece that fits under the sink and secures the interior drain - I personally think that should be stainless as well. And secondly there was no tool included that fit into the slot for the screw that connects the top portion to the underside. Not a huge deal for those who have a decent set of tools on hand (I used a chisel to serve as an extra large straight slot screwdriver and it worked out well). All in all, especially when you compare quality vs cost this is an excellent purchase so far. If we start to experience issues I will update this review at a later date with those details. Update: Oct 2019 still 5 stars but bottom grid a PITA. Sink still works amazing, no rust but has gotten a few minor battle scars. Bottom dish grid great to protect the finish but is starting to rust, note to the sink - just the removal grid. Wish it were easier to find the exact match. But otherwise still an excellent purchase at a great value.

Excellent product
I love my new sink! Very easy to clean, it drains due to grove in each corner, no standing or puddles in sink. Best part is I can clean large pots!

Big Sink
Once I saw this sink in person I realized it was bigger than I thought it would be. My husband, who helped me pick it out, even said it was "too big" and considered buying a different one. Now that it's installed, it's still huge, but I think it will be great for washing large pots and cutting boards which were always a pain in double-bowl sinks. We've had the sink installed for about two weeks and have been hand-washing dishes. A few things to consider: 1. The description says it fits in a 33 inch cabinet. Don't trust it. If your cabinet has 3/4" sides like mine, then you only have 31.5" interior. Add to that the fact that the sink needs to attach under the counter with clips and you've got a situation where you have to cut your cabinet frame up just to fit the sink. I had mine installed in a 36" cabinet and even that was tight. 2. The sink is really deep. It's 10 inches deep to start, then add 1.25" of counter and you'll find yourself leaning forward any time you're standing in front of it. Even with the grate in the bottom of the sink I still find myself leaning. If you don't have a dishwasher, I'd recommend a shallower sink as standing in front of this one for too long is bound to hurt your back. (I'm 5'6" and my husband is 5'8" and we both lean, just for reference) 3. It has a really deep strainer basket. Not really a plus or minus in my opinion, but it's different from the standard strainer. This also means it comes down lower below the sink, so you may or may not have to change your drain pipes a bit. I had all new plumbing run as part of my renovation so it wasn't an issue for me. 4. If you're having new granite installed, give the sink to your installer, not the template. Also make sure to tell them there's a grate for the sink so they don't give you a huge overhang which would make it impossible to get the grate in. Reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5? The inside corners of the sink aren't as smooth as I would like. Other showroom sinks I've seen have been smoother, like Kohler ones, but those are easily twice the price and don't come with the drain parts or grates. The grate, while useful to keep you from scratching the sink bottom, would probably be more useful if it only covered half the sink or if it came in two halves. It's so big that you don't really want to be taking it in and out of the sink all the time, but you can't clean the sink with it in there. You can rinse the sink, sure, but if you've been cutting raw meat, you're going to want to wash the sink after you wash that cutting board. Other users have reported scratching the sink if you don't use the grate. Overall it's a nice sink and a good value for the price. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.

It's big, it's deep, it's shiny, and it's new
I don't think I was prepared for just how big and deep this baby is. That's not a criticism. I just hadn't pictured the dimensions of this sink as they would relate to the surrounding cabinet. But, the amount of space that it leaves for pots and pans, leaving room on the counter top, is a welcome change from our previous sink. I bought this fully knowing that some people had complained about the flat bottom being "too flat." Yes, it does not drain as fast as some might like, but it's certainly adequate. I think some people forget that this style sink is somewhat more "industrial" than they're used to. You do have to purposefully rinse particles down the drain when you're finished cleaning your dishes, etc. I don't actually find this to be a problem. (I also suspect that some of those who complained about the slow draining did not install their sink in a level counter top, but who knows). The drain grooves could be a little deeper, but hey, they're perfectly adequate to their purpose. Kraus' packaging is impressive to say the least. The bag the sink comes in is really handy for other things (laundry, putting beach stuff in, etc.). The box is very solid. I can't speak to the ease of installation as my contractor handled that. Note that the drain hole is positioned toward the back, not the center. This is not a problem. In fact, it was preferable it means that your garbage disposal will be situated further back, out of the way, leaving more room at the front of the cabinet. However, if your plumbing (drain line) is dead center in the wall beneath the sink, then your plumber may have to be a little creative in installing the garbage disposal. The rack that comes with it is a nice feature. It's nice to rinse food off of plates and pots and not have to worry about it re-sticking to the plate or pot when you lift them up for washing. It certainly prevents dents and scratches in the sink bottom. The insulation on the bottom and sides of the sink is certainly solid and thick enough to reduce sound. It's aesthetically a little better than most sink undersides that I've seen. I only mention this at all as this sink is so deep that you may actually see the sink bottom if you open your undersink cabinet doors. If that's a problem, have your cabinet installer install shorter doors. Not a problem. All in all, it's a perfectly functional, shiny, rectangular, deep, wide piece of steel that will be more than satisfactory. It is big, so have a good idea of what space you're installing it in. Cheers, A.

Stunning, great craftsmanship, excellent value
Our sink came within 3 days of ordering it. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s more of a squared off shape, versus the typical rounded sink. It has 40/60 sink compartments (the larger compartment is on the right hand side). The metal racks look very sleek at the bottom of the sink and will certainly aid in preventing scratches. Plus, it allows you to use one side of the sink for drying (dishes are hidden, unless you walk over to the sink), so we are ditching the drying pad next to the sink! However, the racks do make drying the sink a bit more of a hassle. We’ve had stainless steel sinks and appliances in our kitchens for years. I had read some reviews where folks complained about the water spots. Yes, it definitely acts like stainless- it absolutely shows water spots. I think part of the reason water spots show so obnoxiously in this particular sink is because it has more of a shiny/chrome finish. Plus, it’s super deep and wide, which means there is a lot more surface area requiring wiping down. So, just know what you are getting yourself into. If you want the cool, commercial chef style sink- expect the annoying water spot problem that comes with this size of sink. I do wish the bottom of the sink had a bit more angle to it- as the water tends to pool in various spots. My old kitchen sink could be dried with one paper towel. This will require more like 3-4 paper towels to dry. And, because it’s so deep, water splatters all over the sink basin. It’s very quiet - a nice heavy gauge metal, which doesn’t have the cheap “ping” that lesser quality sinks produce. In addition, the entire underside of the sink has some type of rubber coating applied to it with the sides covered in a thick rubber pad. That’s about the most you could ask for. For the price, this sink is a real value! Oh, and instead of the usual sink plug, it comes with a very different cup style strainer to catch food particles. You can seal the drain hole with a stopper that fits over the small removable strainer. But, just know even the drain is unique. Did I mention it’s beautiful? We bought a very commercial looking Kraus faucet and sprayer to go with the sink and the combination is very slick. Everyone compliments this sink - faucet combo. It will truly be the focal point of any kitchen remodel!
