Obenauf's Leather Oil (16 Ounces)

I have tried, used and abused all the best water proofing methods and substances over a thirty year period throughout the brutal conditions that Scotland can generate. This oil is for new applications on to new leather and builds up the base. It's counterpart Heavy Duty LP (8 Ounces) feeds and waterproofs the leather. This combo has an endurance that none of the other well know brands have. It works. it's good to see it available in Britain again, but should be cheaper. Good natural ingredients. It's developed for Firefighters in the U.S. Wilds of Idaho in the U.S of A

Having seen this on online reviews from the US I wanted to try this out. But it was not available this side of the pond, until I found this seller importing it and selling it here. Happy about my find I went ahead and got some, as well as the wax and waterproofer. I LOVE THIS leather oil! It smells pleasant, applies easily, soakes right into the leather. I have treated and restored a couple pairs of my work boots now and will keep using it. Amazing product.

it is one of the best leather care products in the world. It is not weather or waterproofing product. It softens the leather (boots,shooes, belts, leather jackets or gun slings) and prevents cracking, making the leather product look new.

Brilliant oil won't be using anything else from now on!

I've used this stuff on luggage, jackets, shoes, wallets. Between this and the Obenauf paste stuff, it covers most of my needs. Usually on veg-tanned or other high quality leather, have not tried it on bonded or coated leathers - for that sort of material you should use a Lexol or other conditioners. The oil soaks right in, and will turn a hardened ill-maintained leather into usable condition. I've tried many different products, and this oil seems to be the best at reviving leather that I thought was a goner. The darkening will fade after a week or so, but some lighter colored items may be permanently darkened. It has a dauber built into the lid, just brush it on, wait a few mins and wipe off any unabsorbed oil. Great stuff, I have gone through 2 big bottles over the years.

Amazing results. Gave life to Old leather belts

Easy to use. Soaks in quickly and thoroughly. Makes the leather supple and moisturized. It worked wonders on my neglected Sperry Top Siders, a random pair of winter Ecco brand boots, my Zamberland leather backpacking boots and a very expensive pair of Fiorentini and Bakers. Only caveat is it will reduce shine on shiny or finished shine leathers and does darken existing colours. This doesn't matter on black shoes but it is noticeable on brown leather. It isn't a dramatic change and I really like how it looks and made the browns richer.
