What do you get?A grey cardboard box that when opened reveals the bowl (wrapped in this foam "pocket") and in the bowl a microfibre cleaning cloth in a plastic sleeve.What is described as a 3 layer design is basically what a vacuum flask is. Inner then vacuum then outer. Is this good for heat retention? Uhm, a bit I suppose. What it does mean is that heat isn't transmitted very easily to the outside of the bowl which is much more important if it contains hot water and you want to hold it.The bowl itself has a brushed metal finish, is quite light and feels like a decent quality product. It works well as a shaving bowl and is easy to clean. Not a lot more to say other than it should last for years.

I was surprised at the quality of this product. Deserves a place in my display cabinet. It felt like I won a trophy for shaving.

Quality is great, sturdy and good looking if you like brushed stainless steel.Perfect size to hold.... just a bit too deep.. when lathering the soap i find getting the brush in to mix the soap ends up with most of it up my brush and have to scrape it back into the bowl. Other than that it would be 5 stars.

This item was marked when it arrived but I didn’t make a fuss. I bought it to replace a wooden equivalent that perished. I shouldn’t have that issue with this one :)

Super high quality lathering bowl that’s very easy to clean. Allows me to lather up Mitchell’s Wool Fat so much so that it’s spilling over the sides.

This bowl allows you to build a strong lather prior to shaving. It is expensive but as it has a dual skin it allows you to add hot water to the soap without burning your hand as you hold it.
