Doorbell hadn't worked forever, so ordered this item. Installed and doorbell now works. Would recommend.

Worked with new Blink doorbell. Just make sure to set to manual chime in device settings after installation.

This was a very simple replacement, though the transformer is installed on a wall in my garage, so the location was certainly a major help too. The transformer does what it should, makes your doorbell ring.

I had a 1st gen Nest doorbell that was connected to a 10V transformer, so I needed to upgrade the transformer in order to support a 2nd gen Nest doorbell. Initially hooked this up on the 16V configuration, but my mechanical chime would not work although the doorbell received enough power to turn on. Moved this to the 24V configuration and both the doorbell and chime are working great. This transformer does have a very perceptible, disconcerting hum. Hopefully this does not indicate trouble. Will certainly update my review if something blows up. Easy to install if you are familiar with residential wiring. My transformer was conveniently located in the chime junction box. If you can replace an outlet or switch, you can install this with ease if you have access to your existing transformer.

I have an older 25 yr old house. When I bought a video doordbell, my fancy doodrbell chime wouldn't work. I thought it was the doorbell, so I bought a basic one. It still didn't work. Someone suggested a transformer. The hardest part was removing my previous one. This one was easy to install with the insturctions provided. Now I am able to use my fancy chime doorbell again. I couldn't be happier, and now, feel safer with the video doorbell also.
