AWESOME product for a buildable, natural-looking tan
I hardly ever write reviews, but I LOVED this stuff and wanted other people to know how great it is! As I'm very pale, I have spent lots of money on spray tans and was getting sick of that, so I wanted a cheap, at-home solution. I bought this Medium shade along with a tanning applicator mitt ($6 from KRTOTAI on Amazon if anyone is interested) and was thoroughly impressed! This will save me SO MUCH MONEY. Before using, I put some lotion on my feet, hands, elbows, knees, and face. I shook the bottle then put some on the mitt. The product quickly turned from a foam into more of a liquid, which made it very easy to apply and spread around, so I would recommend using a mitt like I did. It does go on clear, but as long as you're thorough you shouldn't be worried about missing spots. I think it smelled very nice, and while I did feel that the coconut scent faded into more of a "tanning scent" as the time passed, it wasn't very strong compared to other products so I didn't mind at all. I waited about 15 minutes to dress afterwards and wore light clothing the whole day. I showered after 8 hours and was left with a nice glow, but as I wanted to look pretty tan, I did what the bottle suggested and applied it two more times within a 24 hour period (once the next morning and again at night). After this, I was left with a very natural looking tan that was very even and stayed on for multiple days, so it is TOTALLY BUILDABLE! Something I loved was that the tan also faded evenly so I wasn't left with weird splotches, but idk if that was due to the product or just my good luck :) I had to use quite a bit of product with every application as I covered most of my body with it (I was wearing a romper for an event) and I wanted to be really thorough, but I still have more than half the bottle left. I bet I could easily get ~8-10 uses out of this bottle, especially if I were to do a quick touch-up once a week or so to sustain it rather than waiting until it all fades and starting from scratch. This is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made. EDIT: after using it a few times, I still love it, but have have definitely noticed how sticky I feel after applying it, so I would definitely recommend applying this on a day where you don’t have to go anywhere because I felt kind of gross leaving the house 😂 it might just be me though- I don’t even like the feeling of wearing lotion, so obviously I’d be bothered by the stickiness of this!

Works well for natural tan. Easy to build. Smells a little but not disgusting. Use applicator mitt.
I read through the reviews of a lot of different self-tanning products and this one looked the best. What you’ve read is true about this one: it works really well, giving a natural color. May be a little smelly after the coconut wears off and best when applied on clean, exfoliated skin, with lotion on whole body first, with applicator mitt. I have very fair skin, almost translucent skin and actually have a skin condition that causes photosensitivity, so I was looking for something to give me a little color without looking obvious or fake/orange. This does just what I wanted without looking orange at all. I used the medium tone, which seemed like the only available on amazon. I bought a 3 piece self tanner kit with exfoliating glove, tanner mitt applicator and face applicator mini mit all on amazon as well. Cheap, $10? I exfoliated and lotioned up after showering. Then I used the mitt on my body, starting with legs. With the mitt it’s so easy to get full coverage and not miss any spots. I did my body in small sections only using like two pumps of foam at a time. When rubbing in, the foam changed to liquid quick and it was easy to see where I needed coverage. I needed help reaching my mid back though. On my face and neck I made sure to push it up into my hairline so it was all over and even. I waited about 5 hours and put on another coat but didn’t wash my body again or even lotion again. By then, I was already seeing the tan building actually. When I woke up it was a little bit dark everywhere but looked natural. It does smell a little bit - the coconut scent smells really good but then wears off after like 2 hours and smells like self tanner... but that makes sense because that’s what I just used. Didn’t bother me at all. I suggest a couple of things: use this on a day when you can walk around your house unclothed for periods at a time and when you don’t have to go anywhere. After application, it’s a little sticky so I wait like 15 mins then put on a big t shirt and wear loose shorts, trying to avoid sweating or washing my hands a lot, if possible. Also, it isn’t that bad but the smell might be noticeable to others if you had to go out somewhere like to work or something. I would just put it on like on a Saturday or at night or something but it’s not like the end of the world if you do have to go anywhere. It’s fine. Overall, great product for users with really light skin who might be skeptical. Follow my tips and you’ll be happy too! :) good luck!

Bang for your Buck! Beginner friendly!
As a first time tanner I was expecting the #tanningfail, but I was so pleasantly surprised! This is a very user-friendly tanner. I did use a tanning mitt so my hands wouldn't get over saturated for anyone who was wondering. Although it is a clear formula I found it was still easy to feel out where I had not applied the tanner. The formula was very light and easy to smooth over and the results were a beautiful natural looking tan that was not to dark or to orange. The biggest part of this tanner I enjoyed was the "build-able" aspect of it. Another reason its a great tanner for beginners. The only things I can say I didn't complete love was the fragrance is fairly strong. I could still smell the scent after developing the tan for 8+ hours. The fragrance is not a awful scent by any means, it smelled like a tropical lotion. And the other thing was the stickiness. It does go away after a couple hours but it is a bit sticky. Having said that I'll take stickiness over transferring onto my sheets any day. Which this self tanner claim of being transfer resistant is spot on! My white sheets look great! I would definitely repurchase this product! As well as recommend to my friends and family!

LOVE
This stuff is amazing for the price. It smells awesome when applying. After it develops, there is a slight smell of DHA which is to be expected for any self-tanner, but nothing like Jergens(yuck!!). It is a really nice gradual tanner. You won’t be brown after one use, but I usually apply two or three layers of this stuff every few days & use a gradual tan moisturizer on in-between days. The color is really nice and not orange-y. It’s also really moisturizing! I have pretty dry skin and usually need to apply lotion after showering, but I only use lotion on my super-dry areas (knees, ankles, feet, elbows) and this tanner actually keeps my whole body pretty well moisturized. The only downside to this tanner is that it goes on clear, so you can’t see exactly where you’ve applied or need to smooth out. This isn’t great for first-time self-tanners, but it does NOT stain clothes or sheets for this reason. It’s also pretty gradual, so even if you do miss a spot, it’s an easy fix to apply over that spot the next day.

Good Scent and Application, But Orange Tone Limits Use
I like that this self-tanner has a pleasant coconut scent that isn’t overly chemical-smelling, which makes the application process more enjoyable. It dries fairly quickly and applies quite evenly when using a glove, leaving my skin without any sticky residue. The base color leans more toward orange, which doesn’t work well with my cooler undertones. The tan develops nicely after a few hours but ended up looking a bit too warm for my skin tone. If you prefer a more natural or subtle tan, this might not be the best fit.

A self-tanner foam that actually WORKS!
For years, I've used cream-based tanning lotions. Without mentioning brands by name, I found that over time, I was developing a reaction to putting these lotions on day after day. Maybe it was something in the ingredients used? I wanted to try a different product for self-tanning, and this L'Oreal foam tanner seems to be the best out there. For my super fair skin, it gives me the most natural color - looking like I'm in the human race without being too orange. It also doesn't seem to darken my freckles and age spots like other brands did (WORST of all worlds: looking polka-dotted!). The only downside is that you have to be careful applying the foam. It tends to slip down your legs or arms after you spritz it on. Work FAST or it will dribble onto the floor or rug and stain it. That said, the foam seems quick and easy to work into the skin and best of all, it dries in about 90 seconds, so you can put clothes on. It has not rubbed off on any of my pants, waistbands or tops. The foam builds color so that using it ONCE a day, I look good for the beach by Day 3. It smells of the sunny beach ... ack, I can live with that. It's now my go-to self-tanner.

This stuff is fantastic -exactly what I was looking for!
I love this and will definitely more in the future! It's the most genuine looking "fake tan" I've ever had. It was very easy to use. Some customers were put off because you can't see where you've put it. I just paid careful attention and had no problem. It is a little tacky after you use it, and for me that lasted about 4 hours. But it wasn't a major issue for me. The feel of your skin after using this is amazing. I exfoliated thoroughly before using it, and I put moisturizer on my face and neck also. I also used body cream on my elbows, knees, and feet. I used vinyl gloves to apply it, and used a makeup sponge to apply it to my face, working it into the hairline and my neck. Also, before I finished I took off the gloves, moisturized my hands well, and put a thin coat of the tanner on the tops of my hands and my wrists (but not the underside!) I've had it on for about 8 hours, and the color is great. I'm usually very fair skinned, and I have a great, light golden color. No streaks that I can find, and nothing transferred to my clothes. I would suggest this to everyone!
