Lounge music - a more expansive genre than I ever realized
This is a very interesting and well researched book. If I had any critique of it at all, it is in regard to his definition of "lounge" which, IMO, includes many musical acts that I would not think fit into this category. I admit that when I think of lounge, I think of the godfathers - Martin Denny, Les Baxter, Arthur Lyman and Esquivel - not Billy Joel, Diana Ross or Elton John who are all included in this book. But that's not to take away from all the information provided herein that is pertinent to my personal interests in the genre. It may even encourage me to listen to music with a different ear. However, next time, if Motorhead is included in the category of "Tiki" then I will have a problem.
