I bought these to replace my 18v NiMh packs that were dying. What I like - They have built in charging regulators, this means you can use most any charger they fit in to charge them. They also have built in charge indicators, this is nice.What could use work - really only two things, first sometimes under high amperage draw they will cut out to prevent damage. This only happened with me when I used my circular saw and it had a dull blade, so it bogged down and eventually the battery just cut out. Once it stops it will start right up again, it's just a safety feature. Lastly the fit could be a bit better, sometimes they don't feel like they fit quite right.Overall, unless they quit within the next 3-4 months I'll buy another set, so there is that.

I ordered a pair of these batteries to see how well they went with all the various DeWalt tools I have. I never liked the Ni Cad batteries for all of the already known faults with ni cad batteries. I recevied these batteries quickly via amazon prime and when i tried to put them into my DeWalt charger one went in with a fair degree of force and the other took quite a bit of force to get it to seat into the charger. Getting them out of the charger took a lot of force as well.Once charged they seem to have a lot of "snap" when you hit the on trigger on any tool. I am very pleased with this aspect. The fitment into the charger remains problematic. I now know how to force the battery into the charger but this should not be an issue. I will update this review as i get more use out of these batteries.

I purchased (2) of these 2-packs. Of the first set, one battery didn't fit in my DeWalt charger without jamming it in so tightly I could barely get it out. The other battery's indicator light wouldn't work. After about 10 minutes on the charger, the charger started flashing quickly indicating the battery was defective and should be replaced. I sent that set back and ordered an identical replacement set. Of the second set, one battery's indicator light also wouldn't work and again, after about 10 minutes on the charger, the charger indicated the battery was defective. The other battery appears to be working but now I'm skeptical as to if/when it will stop working also. A 50% failure rate on four batteries is awful product quality. I'm returning the second set for a refund and trying another brand. DeWalt doesn't make a replacement lithium battery for the older version XRP batteries. I guess they want you to buy their new models instead.

Bought a set of 2 batteries and 1 got so hot it nearly burned up the second time I used it. It's dead and won't take a charge now. The other battery is still functioning properly, so I give this a 50/50 rating. If I could get a replacement battery, I would give a higher rating, but can't seem to find any where on Amazon to return it or request a replacement and I see that this item is no longer available through Amazon, so yeah... just saying.

I took one out of package and put it to work. All is well. Took the second one out of package and it was dead. No biggie. Put it on charge and walked away. Came back to see battery life indicator fully charged. Put it in tool and battery was dead. Will not take charge at all. Im past point of return because i didnt use it till a few months after purchase. Seems like quality control is lacking. Anything company could do to help would be nice. Review was hard to do because on battery is good and one is bad. Help please if can

Have only had these batteries for a short and have used them only a few times.Il by "battery life" is meant the length of time under load before the battery needs recharging, it is MUCH GREATER than that of a Dewalt battery.One problem with these batteries is seating them on the charger as well as pulling them off requires excessive force. Like wise connecting to/removing from a tool..Pricewise they seem like a very good deal . . . so far . . .

This battery took and held a single charge for a day. I was able to use it for one job. I went to charge it the next day and the battery wouldn’t take a charge. Not worth the hassle. Just buy the OEM batteries you need and do not waste your money!

The value is great. Super price. I was wondering when someone would make a li-ion battery to fit the old tools. I can't say on longevity or battery life because I have just started using them. In fact I have not needed to recharge one yet. So I really don't know about longevity. I have only used them for a few hours.
