What is the depth (thickness) of the actual top cover

The measurement from the top of the cover to the bottom of the rim that sits on the base of the frame is one inch (26 mmm). I bought mine to replace a 23 year old corroded Clarksteel 495 mm diameter cover and was lucky to find that it fitted the existing frame perfectly. It is a nice snug fit and stays firmly in place without using the securing screws which are not a feature of the original frame.
