I recently purchased a Heat Shrink Wire Connector Butt Terminals Kit for some electrical work I needed to do around my home. I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with the product. Works a treat quality and quality

It was hood enough for what I needed. 2 areas to improve, 1st is the "red" shrink is pale pink. I know red is a size indicator but pink is not really what I wanted. 2nd is the shrink plastic does shrink well but needs a high heat for a while to get it to work. For very small wires , the wiring coating melted before the shrink. It did the job.

Don't normally write reviews, but thought I would with this. Brilliant peice of kit, saw some questions on how to shrink the ends, I have a heat gun, but all you really need to do is stick a lighter underneath it and it works fine. Of course be careful by any fuel areas if you're working there. Used this for a motorbike.

I do a fair bit of soldering with my DIY projects and I am tried of just twisting cables together with insulation tape. I am always forgeting to put the short length of heat shrink before soldering, end up just wrapping the exposed wire with tape which is not dust nor waterproof. With these heat shrink wire connector I can easily joint 2 wires together without the need of soldering. Crimp connector have been around forever and it is very popular with 12v auto applications. With these you get the physical joint from the crimp and also weather sealed with the heat shrink all in one. I use a heat gun (mains) on my work bench. If I am on the go I use a cig lighter, just need to take extra time to make sure the heat shrink is heated to shrink but not burnt.

As a keen DIY er I got fed up with being “advised” that my electrical joints using insulating tape were not the proper way to do the job, so I finally relented and bought his neat bit of kit. And I must say I am now really pleased that I did, the plastic storage box contains an assortment of different colour coded sizes, each size held securely in different compartments of the box, and are simple to use following the clear instructions and give neat and effective results, I use the wife's hair dryer to finish each join, haven't mentioned that to her yet, but it was her comments about the insulating tape joints that prompted me to buy it in the first place after all. Can recommend this kit as a good buy.
