Tens Units
Great item. My opinion, everyone should have one of these in their home for pain. Tens units really really work.

Pain, pain, go away....and don't come back!
I have used TENS units in the past prior to the replacement of my right hip from an injury. When I recently experienced extreme pain in the right hip/thigh area, while I thought of that unit, I decided that it was much too old to risk using it. I took my time in examining what Amazon had to offer and chose this unit. It has definitely exceeded my expectations, especially at the price! Even I, with my concussion, found it easy to operate. It is the size of a tv remote, so it fits in your pocket. It has recused me from so much pain....now diagnosed as sciatica....and is taking me thru the healing process. One thing I would like the mention, the unit "slowed down" after four days, I hoped it was the batteries instead of the unit, and it was. Do not start high on new batteries as, with at least mine, were tons stronger than what came with the unit. I scared myself and quickly turned it down from 10 to 5. Also, with Amazon, free delivery was offered for the next morning with a $25 purchase. That was a no-brainer....get an extra pkg of pads. As I learned years ago, get the pads recommended for the unit. I had my unit at 5 the next morning....I was sooo thrilled. Thanks!!!

Does the job...
This is going to be an honest review based on usage. I suffer from bouts of arthritic pain. I've known about TENS devices for some time now. My aunt how suffers from lupus was given a TENS device through her medical insurance to help with bouts of pain. Her device was worth almost $700+. That was in the 2000. After having a small incident where I stepped off a curb the wrong way and strained my hip area. I have been in pain for weeks as I slowly recover. I have used massagers and pain relief creams. The only thing I didn't use was a cold compress or my tuning fork. So I decided to look into finding an affordable TENS machine. I read some of the comments and decided give this device a try. The first thing I would say about this device is that it's a simple device. A backup if you need something quick. It's cheap and battery powered. But it still packs enough of a punch in such a small device. Device: The size could have been reworked. Compared to other devices I looked over the only complaint was the fact that the device is not portable enough. It's about the size of a tv remote. Not small enough to put in a pants pocket, but will fit inside a bag. Controls: There are 5 modes for the body, the 6th mode is a "repeat" button. Which I have no idea how this works. And the manual doesn't really tell you. I can only guess that if you already have the device activated and there's a pulse within a mode you're using then you'd push the button to "repeat" it. Provided it's not doing that already. Meaning whatever mode you're using, if you're familiar with the patterns of the pulses then you already know what comes next. Pushing "repeat" tells me nothing of what's happening if it isn't doing that anyway. There are 3 buttons for the type of pulse modes you want, "massage", "beat" and "knead". Then there are two 2 buttons for "speed levels". At first I didn't know if it worked when pressed, but after really paying attention I realized they do. Speed the pulse up or slow it down. On the sides are the dials which control both the on and off as well as the "power intensity". Left side dial controls the left channel port and the right side controls the right channel port. The channel ports are located on the top and they can be controlled separately. Just attach the electrode wire(s) into whichever channel port you want to use and you're ready to go. Power intensity for their respective goes from 1 the lowest to 10 the highest. My only gripe with the display design is around the power dials. On the left side the design showing low to high is in one direction and the right side is high to low. So to turn the device off, you have to go up on one side and down on the other. Which is basically silly when I look at this. It's easier to scroll down to turn something off than it is having to flick it up to turn it off. They would have been better either flipping the "crescent" icon on the right side so that that either both sides showing the maximum power is either up or down. Position the highest intensity or the lowest intensity to off down or up. The only thing I can think of as to why they might have done it this way, might be how some people handle things based on whether they're right or left handed. But I can't think that might be it. I had so much trouble trying to turn the dial when I had both sides charged up. It was annoying having to push one side down to turn it off and the other side I have to push the dial up to turn it off. This is why I thought it better that both sides go in the same direction. All they would have to do is flip the icon on the right side and then position the icons where off is up or down. The other issue is that this device for some reason doesn't reset. You have turn it off and on to start the procedure all over again. The short timer was another complaint I read for those that wanted a longer treatment. The device only does 15min segments. I agree. However it's not the end of the world. After all this is a simple device that is cheap. Given those shortcomings the device could have been programmed in a way without having to turn it off then on again to do another session. Pads: These pads will have to be replaced. They possess a sticky substance similar to the material you find on those toys you toss at the wall. The electrode pads will stick to your skin with no problem. Be careful not to accidently bend them. Anyone that has had to deal with messing up a band-aid knows what I'm talking about. You can fix it but any crease can affect the stickiness. Keep away from fabrics, dust or oils as this will affect it's adhesion. You can reuse these pads if you're careful. Just be sure to place them back on a smooth clean surface. This will help preserve them for awhile until you need them again or until you have to replace them. I reapply them to the plastic they came on and place them back in the box. When I carry them to work I take the electrodes on the plastic and place the whole thing in a Ziploc bag. Protecting them from any dust particles. You can probably use some alcohol to clean or soap to clean them. Just make sure to dry using something lint free. Or air dry. So what do we have? A pretty decent device. Pros: Simple. Somewhat easy to use. Portable depending. Modes. Affordable. Cons: Display. Power/Power intensity somewhat confusing. Better way to reset device without having to turn device off to start over. Too big to fit in pocket. Not portable to some.

Helps with ease of pain...
This is a great product. The battery life is awesome. I have owned this for over a year and have not changed a battery since. The electrodes have been sticky for so long. If they lose their stickiness just wet them and their like brand new. Perfect machine to help out with moderate pain and uncomfortability. The price for the value is so great.

There is NOT a way to lock in the intensity, the dial is easily moved by accident -- ouch!
The unit has a very large case that is not able to be clipped onto a pocket or belt making it difficult to walk if need be. It uses a wheel, placed on each side of the case, for the respective wire to control. The wheels are the only way to turn it on. The wheels can be bumped causing it to change the level that the unit is set at -- this is the worse feature! The unit works and delivers the impulses. I've only used it 4 times so far. The TENS pads are the smallest I've ever seen, thus they don't cover the skin as much. The lead wires are really long, and if someone is a large they would probably be able to be placed on the body.

Great Product
I was a bit skeptical that this type of thing would be of much benefit. I am quite pleased to report that for me this device works very well. I have had a couple of bad car crashes and fair amount of damage to my neck and lower back. I have been using this for a week and it relieves pain well I have noticed less cracking and popping in my neck for using it on a regular basis. It ships with four of the electrodes with it (a set of one for the device). They last a good while and stay sticky a long time but eventually the adhesive gets a bit weak and they don't stay on that well. For my I just bought a pack of 48 more electrodes from Amazon (I got these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E6RJ6WK/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_39) You might want to pick some extras up as well. The only negative I can report is that the wire connections are a bit loose on my device. I solved that by pulling the wires taught on the sides of the device and wrapping them to the sides of the device with a rubber band; seems to work fine for me.

Works Well
My husband was having back spasms and his doctor recommended a Tens unit. I am so glad he did. This has really helped him to get over his episodes quicker. The pads that come with the unit are super sticky and we have gotten multiple uses out of them. I over did it at the gym and started having neck spasms and this was a life saver for me to help with relaxing my neck. The unit is small makingnit highly portable. The screen is not back-lit so be aware of that. I simply wipe the sticky pad off with warm water, let it air dry and I am good to go.

I personally have never have been a fan of electronic pulse massagers because one I do not believe it works or could relieve pain and two that it actually damage or could make things worse so I never invested or was interested in one. Recently been having this pain in my shoulders and neck area and really wasn’t able to work it out itself. I tired gel, creams but nothing worked. I looked into a massage therapist but the cost of them for roughly an hour is upwards to $150 so it really isn’t affordable for me and my employment benefit insurance doesn’t cover that unfortunately so I recently was looking for massagers but Amazon recommend me this so that is what made me find this. After skeptical to purchase I did some research and found out this could be useful for pain. I have seen the As Seen on TV commercial for the Dr. Ho but if you look at the price it is not even close to being affordable either. So I read the reviews FIRST before I purchased this because I like I said I was skeptical to purchase but after reading many positive reviews I did finally decide to purchase it. Shipping was a nightmare, paid extra for two day shipping and received five days later. That is what you get with Dynamex shipping but I did end up receiving it. I was surprised as I thought it was going to be in a bigger package but I guess that was my own personal opinion. I didn’t open it until I was almost ready for bed as I waiting to relax that night. To start off this is 1/10 of the price for the As Seen on TV one so I didn’t know what to expect (something great or something crap.) Upon opening, you get the device, batteries (4 AAA), four adhesive pads to target multiple areas, two cables for each of the two pads, and instructions. On the device, you have settings for Shoulders, Waist, Joint, Hand-Leg, Repeat, and Sole. You also get three options for Massage, Beat, and Knead. In addition there is Left and Right dials to control the intensity for each of the two adhesive pads (1-10) and also buttons for speed (increase and decrease.) Holding the device, it feels cheap as compared to name brand one but the price reflects that but it does feel sturdy. It won’t fall apart in your hand as it comfortable to hold as it’s slightly larger than your TV remote control. The buttons on the device are cheap plastic but it does what it is supposed to do (it clicks and responds well.) They won’t wear or break off it your careful with it. Starting to use is simple, remove the adhesive pads and place where you want to ease pain, connect the pad to cord and the cord to the device (like plugging in headphones) and set the target location. The LCD screen shows where you are massaging and also displays the speed, also in the middle it shows the time. Each setting you set has a time of 15 minutes and then it shuts off which you can turn back on if you would like. I was very scared using this for the FIRST time because I have never ever used anything like this and was worried it was going to hurt or going to shock me so it was nervous for me. I started on my shoulders and turned the unit on until I just started feeling it and worked the way up to the intensity I felt comfortable with and I could handle. Don’t crank it all the way up because it could shock you and it may hurt as a tip, just ease into it. I have neck pain while tilting back and side to side and it has been working great. After using the device and exterminating with it and taking it slow I have finally grown to like the machine so I more comfortable using it the next time as I know what to expect. I want to clear something up, I have neck pain and use it on my neck all the time with no problems. Many may think that is a problem or could be but I do not think so but that is personally your decision if you want to use it on your neck. Pros: - The unit feels sturdy in your hand doesn’t feel like it’s going to break. - The most important thing is the price, fantastic for the price. - The device has many unique options that other brands do not. - The timer function is great for when you fall asleep to do. Cons: - The unit doesn’t come with extra pads but are cheap on Amazon. - The adhesive for the pads doesn’t last long, few uses and it is difficult to stick on skin (I use water to help adhere.) - Wish the pads were able to contour better for the different parts of the body. - Only is able to go up to intensity of 10, if you use it frequently then this may feel like nothing. Unfortunately the cons are not a deal breaker as I understand you can’t get everything for the price and what you are getting is quite significant so I wouldn’t focus on a few cons because there is a lot this has to offer. I would say that this is a working out to be a good investment and appears to be helping in some way. I don’t think this will take away a true massage because personally that is the best option to do but if you’re like me and most of the rest of world that isn’t able to afford it then this is the next best thing. It relieves pain and takes some of the stress way that you have, but don’t get too excited because this won’t cure all pain but some or most of it. Would I recommend this, I totally would for people suffering with pain because this well help (of course to an extent.)

Only got to test it out a bit so far but its pretty good . The instructions could be a bit better and more informative but can find some good info on the net about this stuff. The pads are sticky like crazy and i presume i will need more eventually. The setting are pretty wild. I have read some reviews saying this unit is to weak but from my experience it is awesome. I did not go past setting 6 and that was enough for me. Bought it for a knee operation i had. Was advised by doctors to seek one out for home use. I chose this one as a test and it really seems to work just as good as the one i use at my physio sessions. Has less options and can take a while to figure everything out. But once you do its pretty good little affordable machine for home tens therapy. I think a lot of people get Tens units confused with ab zappers. So they think its supposed to be some kinda intense zapping workout. It is not. It is meant for rehabilitation for many ailments and if you use it for that then this is a good product. I will rate it 5 stars for now because the price was right. will def need new pads in the near future but that is expected. The features are pretty cool. Its simple but high tech. I honestly can't find any cons about this product because i was not thinking it would be so good. It even came with batteries that worked! I am happily surprised it does what it says for the price. 40 bucks to relieve some knee pain is a pretty good deal if you ask me. I would buy it again and recommend it for Novice Tens users looking to try it out and not break their wallets. Thanks guys!

This is my first portable TENS unit, so I have no other to compare to. I chose this one because it was significantly cheaper than others and had several good ratings on Amazon, even from people who claimed to have used other more expensive units. The unit arrived quickly. The product's box fits everything snuggly and provides adequate protection. However, the product box was not further protected/packaged for shipping, simply a shipping label was adhered to the box and it was sent out, so it could have gotten damaged (unless it was driven from shop to home). It's simple to use and assemble. I've not had any problem with pads coming off. Replacement pads are available on Amazon as well and are affordable enough. There are several buttons (waist, shoulder, joint, hand-leg, sole, repeat, speed up, speed down, massage, beat, knead), which make it easy to choose a setting or change one. I've tried several and prefer massage or knead at the programmed speed. The display is a decent size to read. Batteries were included as well but you should have some rechargables (and a charger) on hand if you plan to use the unit a lot. I've used it every day for 2 weeks now and the original batteries are still inside, but are noticeably weaker. I couldn't go higher than 3-4 at first. Technically there are two separate sides to this unit and each side can power 2 pads, so can have 4 pads on at once. Due to the wire lengths, the 2 pads per side can't be too far apart. If you don't require 4 pads, you can simply use one side of the unit and only 2 pads. The only thing I don't like is the way that the knobs on each side that turn the unit on and set the power / intensity level are opposite each other in direction. You have to go up on one side and down on the other side to turn the unit on and raise the intensity, instead of moving in the same direction on both sides. It's not a big deal and you can easily get used to it but it wasn't intuitive for me. I have chronic neck issues and recently have pains shooting down my shoulder and arms and into my hands from RSI. When I go for physiotherapy they have the big TENS machine there, so I thought an affordable home unit would be good to have. I'm glad I got this for $45 CDN on Amazon.ca to try (it's $27 USD on Amazon.com). It's significantly cheaper then the DR-HO's ones I see at Wal-Mart for $150+. It does NOT feel like the big machine at my physio at all but I didn't expect it to. It is my understanding that TENS machines don't heal the problem, only make the pain more manageable. I think this unit is helping me and for the price I can recommend it to others to try.

This tool turned out to be one of those small devices that really makes a difference in your daily routine ! It’s easy to use, surprisingly powerful for its size and a great option if you’re looking for a drug-free way to manage muscle pain or tension at home. It’s lightweight and about the size of a remote, so you can easily carry it in a bag, keep it in your drawer at work, or take it with you when you travel. The screen is big and clear, and the buttons make switching modes and adjusting intensity really straightforward. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to figure it out. There are 6 preset programs and 3 massage modes to choose from, like kneading or tapping. It also has 2 channels, so you can treat different areas at once with separate settings. That came in handy when I had tight shoulders and lower back pain at the same time. The intensity levels are adjustable with side dials, which gives you good control depending on how strong you want the stimulation to be! Even on a medium setting, it delivers a solid, deep pulse that feels like it’s really working the muscles. After using it for about 20 minutes post-workout and also after long workdays, I definitely noticed a drop in muscle tension. It’s not a miracle cure, but for regular aches and tight spots, it offers real, lasting relief. It’s something I now reach for regularly, not just occasionally! One small suggestion : It would be great if it came with a little pouch or case to keep the pads and cables organized, especially if you plan to travel with it. Not a dealbreaker, just a small convenience. 😉 This is a solid, affordable device that delivers real results. If you’re dealing with muscle tension or just want a natural way to wind down at the end of the day, this TENS unit is definitely worth trying. Simple, effective and very easy to fit into your lifestyle. ✨
