Great for cutting guitar strings. The 160mm long 74 02 160 is perfect for guitar strings. The larger 200mm size is for bigger jobs.

Leaving the Knipex hipe on the side, I can tell that they are well made. Sharp and easy to hold, can cut trough screws with some effort and cables are not a problem for them. I couldn't cut very thin sheet metal, but they are not designed for that. I will recommend to someone that look after the tools and enjoy using quality. Or people that use them on a regular basis for work, so the price difference between a cheaper set is justified. If you are "saving" to get a decent pair of cutting pliers, might not be the best choice. Since a tool is mean to be used without hesitation or fear of damaging it and this ones are to pretty to use them as a hammer. Even though I believe they can take the beat!

At first they felt abit big in the hand compared to previous wire cutters I had used being mainly 160mm long but once you get used to them they are really nice & you really do get alot more leverage on these compared to smaller wire cutters, now my previous set feel too small, nice to use and cut 1mm 2mm 3mm electrical cable effortlessly, only issue I dont like is they do get a little bit of surface corrosion / rust on them but it's purely cosmetic & does not affect the cutters in any way.

Treated myself to these cutters when my old pair took the full brunt of cutting a live wire. Everything about these feels right, they fit well in the hand, cut very easily and are very well made as you would expect from Knipex.

Use for husband he is an electrician, good quality product and buys here as more expensive elsewhere

Il problema delle tronchese con taglienti scadenti si vede subito al primo taglio con il segno che resta sulle lame......queste tranciano di tutto dal filo di rame sottile come un capello ai cavetti intrecciati dei freni bici , senza fatica e senza segni sulle lame....La costruzione è di una precisione assoluta , serrano perfettamente al micron ! Utensileria "grandi marchi" made in Italy adios......
