ValterraTC96PB Waste Valve Cable with Valve Handle - 96" (Pack of 1)

Purchased a 2021 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel Camper thinking They had a great name and quality would be great. Boy was I wrong. This was one item we had issues with from day one. the black and grey tank cables just were hard to work. I went to open one of the tanks and the cable would not budge. I found this one and tried my luck to install. They gave god instructions and it went right in. MUCH BETTER!!!!

Hard to get to on RV but that's no fault of product. Seems like there could be a better slide cable mechanism. This one will probably break like the oem one did but have no other options. Glad I didn't have to replace the whole valve.

Cable is the easy job. Getting the cable waste gate out of the plumbing and back in can be very much fun. But figuring out how I wanted to do it and look to see how it was going to come out.

Installation directions where not even close. Used site on Web, no issues.Communication was less than desirable. Heard nothing for 5 days after order, then notified it shipped and arrived next day. Shipping from China in 1 day?Equipment is good, and everything works as it should.

I am not the most mechanical fellow but was able to figure it out. Minimal instructions. Had to hit some you tube videos but this worked out pretty well. The main thing is make sure you do not kink the line. It should have a large loop or a straight shot. The factory installed version was kinked with a 3" diameter loop, there is now way it would ever operate properly installed that way. I had to replace with this line and it worked great.

Read another comment fit another brand of valve so took the chance and wire is same diameter and connection to valve is simple set screw so all worked well. The instructions discuss a distance at each end that need to be straight and cable tie cable however no point to cable tie to and old one was never cable tied either . Better construction since threaded connection to trailer frame is metal and my old one was plastic threads which broke

They actually seem a little better than the one they replaced. I have a 2007 KZ with remote valves and of course the black cable failed. A few youtub videos and a few hours of labour and they where replaced. Yea! No more leaking valves and I now have a cut out in the coroplast in case it has to be done again. Hopefully not!

worked as a replacement for broken cable line in trailer, odd way to set this up from factory as it would be better if valves were at a location where you could actually open and close them using the handle rather than 5 ft away and have to use a cable, will likely cut new valves in line and leave these cable driven ones in the open position
