This is a very good source to have, the actual rules instead of the short version which tries to summarize the rules. Actually I have both, and in that way better able to understand the Rules of Golf. Thanks.

The format is really different. It is very hard for me to find where the rules are. It would be very, very helpful to have tabs for the different sections. I also liked the index in the old decisions book. It’s much harder to find things you’re looking for.

A great quick source to the Rules of Golf. As Rules Chairman for my local golf club, a useful aid in conducting tournaments and making Rules decisions and providing advice for members.

This is well laid out with a great index. Much, much larger than the old rulebook I used to carry in my bag. There are several illustrations that help to explain the rules.This is a huge publication at 522. Very happy with the purchase.

This is absolutely necessary to understand the crazy new rule structure imposed by the R&A and the USGA.Before this you had biennial rule updates but order and numbering was not changed, so it was easier to understand. The new rules have been reordered and renumbered, so you will find it difficult to cross reference between old and new. That coupled with the regular publication of Rules & Decisions it was simple to interpret the rules.The index system is not as easy to use either. It takes a lot longer to find a specific ruling.This publication goes a long way to helping. May be at some point someone will also look at the new crazy World Handicapping system.

Reading the rules will open your eyes and assist with your golf. Knowing where and how to drop a ball and whether a penalty is incurred or not, is the key to increasing speed of play as well as being sure that no infringement of the rules has occurred. Your golfing partners will appreciate your knowledge and assistance with confirmation of rules. The guide is concise, well laid out and covers all 24 rules. Read it at your leisure you won’t be sorry

This is a specific guide produced by the R & A and USGA. I knew exactly what it would contain and wanted it as a reference guide for the rules of golf, including some guidelines as to interpretation. I would not have bought this on the off chance - I knew what I was purchasing.

This version is the 2019 rules - not 2023 as indicated on the front cover.

Like the product being spiral bound as pages lie flat making it easier to read. Fuller rule definitions compared to pocket size version. Has already proved its worth on golf society days.
