Great knife for work
The blade designs really come in handy. Super sharp blade. Flat edge for prying and also this blade locks in place.

Good knife
Not a bad knife. Blades are not super stiff to open like I’ve read in other reviews. Blades are sharp and edges are even. The locking blade locks up tight, no play in the blades. The only issue I had and you can refer to the pictures is one of the handles is short of the bolster, But not enough to stick your fingernail in. That’s why I didn’t give it five stars. The handle on the other side is tight to the bolster no issues. I knew This knife Wasn’t USA made, The main reason I bought it is because I liked the black saw cut derlin handle. I used to have a USA made electricians knife like this in the early 80s when I worked as an electrician helper. Pretty sure it was a Camilus But I don’t remember I don’t have the knife anymore. I suggest if you want an American made electricians knife and maybe one that’s a little better quality than this one buy a Utica. Klein Makes an electrician’s knife also but I’m pretty sure it’s made by Utica. But this is a decent knife for the money. Time will tell, but I don’t beat the crap out of my knives so I’m sure this will hold up just fine for what I intend to use it for. I intend to buy a Utica electricians knife in the future future just for grins And to support an American made product.

Pile of Junk.
I was really curious about this knife. The photo shows an original Colonial; which hasn't been made since the 1990s. That is a really good knife. I've carried one of those since I was a kid, and it performs well. However, what I received was a completely different knife. A heavier, thicker, and much cheaper built Chinese-made knife.Fit and finish is truly horrid. There are huge gaps between the handles/bolster and the liner. The gaps are so severe, I can see the handle pins. The blade, when open, sits lower than the top of the backspring. At least the blades are halfway sharp. The screwdriver is a joke. On an electrician's knife, this is the handiest blade. It can work with switch plate cover screws and similarly sized screws, and light prying. However, on this knife, it's completely blunt; and is as thick as the blade itself. It's incapable of fitting any screw. Typically, the blade is just sharp enough to scrape insulation off; but is razor sharp.Personally, avoid this thing like the plague. The only thing keeping me from sending this thing back is that it is tool branded, and I have a small collection of them. Ironically, this is the ONLY one that is not USA-made.Oh, and if you want a good (and pretty) inexpensive electrician's knife--check out the Rough Rider Coal Miner series electrician. Horn handles, a decent screwdriver, 440A steel, and excellent fit/finish. Oh, and about ten bucks! In 2005, Colonial was resurrected by a member of the family who founded the company over 100 years ago. Currently, they produce an electrician's knife called the Ranger E-2. It's about $35, but the Xcelite K-22 also an E-2; and retails for about $20 here on Amazon.

Second tool needed to open first tool.
Main blade opens OK skinner is totally useless, needs a pair of pliers to open, screw driver tip is V shaped not really true screw driver tip. Spend money and get a better knife.
