I love this edition of the book because it had valuable insight into the changes that are coming into our education system and also gives circumstances that are becoming more frequent in this new generation of students and teachers.

This book is full of practical tips for first year teachers. Wish I had it when I began public school teaching. Requiring it for my students in methods classes at the college in which I now teach.

Contains a lot of useful information, really easy to read and remember

While I took a class for my Professional development, this book was really for a First Year teacher. I am in my 4th year now and thought it a little old. With the at home learning going on now I have had to throw out the window all that I read to reshape to the current work environment. Crazy times indeed!

This book is an excellent source for student teachers and first year teachers (even veterans)

Will be using it in a vocational methods course I will be teaching in the fall.

Great for new teachers who do not know where to start. It has helped me a lot. Interesting, easy read and very useful. A must-buy!

I'm not a teacher but I have spent 15 years working in school as a teaching assistant. My role has changed and now I cover the lessons when the teachers are off and this has inspired me to train to be a teacher (will be done by the time I am 55). This is a great book, very helpful if you are new to being in class, need a refresher or are developing your existing role.

In our District we have been purchasing these books since the 1st editions started coming out. New refreshing information helps give direction to new teachers.

Lots of ideas, reassurance, suggestions and practical hints for new teachers, in a well organised, clearly set out format.Easy to pick and mix, dip in and out. I wish this had been available when I first started teaching many years ago. A lot of the contents will be 'old hat' to experienced practitioners but it is so useful to have them gathered in one place for newbies, after all, who wants to keep reinventing the wheel? It is easy to add your own ideas to those in the book, and it is a very useful reference - just keep it out of the staff room or you will find it may grow little legs and run off to someone else's classroom!

This book is so easy to ready...layout is amazing! Love the worksheets too. Very useful for any teacher (experienced or not).
