Buy Lockitt POSI-TAP 6 pack wire connectors 20-22 awg: Multiconductor Cables - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Have used Posi Taps for over 5 years. These are as good as it gets! - They just work. Makes splicing easy as pie. Highly recommend for small electronics and wiring. Have used them on many projects, especially car audio projects, and have never had any fail or unscrew. They simply just work, and make your life so much easier. The price is worth every penny. Review: Expensive but worth it. Easy to use in cramped spaces. - I needed to tap into my taillights to install a trailer hitch electrical hookup on my truck. I did not want to have to cut the existing wire as I was working in a very narrow and confined space and dexterity would be required. Using a different tapping system, I hooked up 5 wires and none of them worked. As it turns out, the tapping system I was using was prone to miss-crimps and miss-alignments. Fed up, I found this solution and out of the 5 wires tapped, 4 of them worked straight away. The one failure was my fault as I had pointed the 'piercing' end away from the wire to be tapped into. The finished taps are working, and the connections will last because the taps I made all withstand a strong tug. If you only need a few taps to complete a project I recommend this. Use these taps for all your difficult tapping jobs you will be satisfied.

Great quality better and easier to use than the classic t-taps
Great quality better than the regular t-taps and is really easy to use them. Leave little to no damage on wires after removing, what I found is that if you use a heatgun the wire return to its original state and with a tiny hole barely visible

The BEST Quick Connector Out There!
These connectors are second to none. I used them for an LED tail light conversion on my car. I'm not sure which gauges the wires were (ground was a larger gauge), but the connectors worked exactly as advertised. Before using Posi-Tap, I tried both off-brand and on-brand Scotch-Locks with ZERO success. These connectors are a bit pricey in comparison, but they are worth the price for a quick and painless job.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for
Cheaper taps will technically work for some time, but I suspect these PosiTaps will last way longer. The difference is the centering and pin design. Other taps damage the outside of the tapped wire to grain contact leaving a ton of room for damaged strands and an over all weakened wire. PosiTaps seem to work around this by going down the middle, pushing the strands and wire coating out of the way. I did notice 1-2 broken strands but the hole it makes is so minimal it can be simply taped over without concern for safety or functionality of the tapped wire. The biggest downside is price, they aren't cheap but they do a really great job. As for my actual project, I used these to tap into turn signal and reverse wires so I could use those as signals to switch cameras on my head unit. I wanted to minimize the amount of damage to expensive and hard to get to wire harnesses and Posi-Tap helped me do that. I picked an area that was inside the car (read: water safe), easy to get to, had room to work, and allowed for plenty of wire length before and after the tap. An abundance of caution should anything go wrong, but happy to report the taps seem to do just fine in my application and so far didn't trigger any kind of bulb out error and do not interfere with the operation of the tapped lights.

Great for DIY Amp install
Tapped Into my Cx5 factory amp speaker wires to install a line out converter. It was a tight squeeze getting my hands in there but these made the job a lot easier. I would recommend these to anyone installing an aftermarket sub who needs to tap into the factory outputs.
