I applied it to my 2002 Lexus LS 430 that I have owned for 17 years and my headlights, after 1.5 years from application, are still clear. I tried to remove the yellowing on a 2006 Lexus GS300 and restore the fogginess on a 2012 Honda Pilot. After using the product, I could see a vast difference in both sets of headlights. The Lexus still had some yellowing and was a tad bit hazy still. The Honda came out completely clear. I’m not sure if the age of the headlights play a factor in how well the product will work, but I believe that this product would work better on restoring headlights that are foggy. I believe that for headlights that are very yellow, a different product like Cerakote or Meguiar’s severe headlight restoration kit might be better.

There’s enough material in this kit to do as many as four or five sets of headlights. The best part of this kit is the UV sealant. It is easy to apply, drys smooth, and keeps your headlights looking like new for many months or even a year. I cleaned my son‘s 2014 Forester headlights last year and the lights still looks like new. He does get some shade from trees at work which helps the sealent last longer. If your car is frequently in the sun, it may only last six or seven months, but that’s still a long time.For severer headlight damage, you will likely need to purchase a kit that includes wet sandpaper and a buffer that attaches to a drill. I’ve used these type of kits as well, but I always put on the Maguire’s sealant at the end of the process.You can also buy the sealant separate from the kit.
