Guidelines for understanding investments.
The story is old but the ideas are still new. Beginning stock market investors and even old hands will find this an interesting book. It is always a good idea to look at a new investment to see if the customers have any yachts or is all the money going to the investment salesperson or company. This is a non technical book which is well organized and provides basic guidelines for investors. I can see why Warren Buffet likes this book.s

really funny. The title says it all
Really, really funny. The title says it all. I just did not realize this was a rewriting of the classic--was looking for the original. But chock full of wisdom for anyone with money to invest, particularly those who are trying to invest on their own.

Interesting but incomplete.
Not the original text - I think that it would be better if Mr. Gough followed the format of Mr. Jason Zweig when he re-released the Intelligent Investor where the full chapter was included followed by "modern day" commentary.

Short and sweet
I liked the shortness and the sweetness of this book. By embellishing on an old book, the author revitalizes many old stock market axioms and presents them in an easily digestible format. Pick any chapter, and in a few minutes you can refresh yourself on ideas that for the most part have been around a long time.

Highly recommended!
This book is recommended by Warren Buffett himself and now me. It’s an updated version written by an Englishman so it takes a little translation of financial terms, but not too much.

DO NOT BUY -- NOT THE RIGHT BOOK
I wish I could give this zero stars.STOPThis is not the book you want -- if you are on this page, then you are probably looking for "Where Are the Customers' Yachts: or A Good Hard Look at Wall Street byFred Schwed"That is not what THIS book is -- the cover art makes this appear as if its the classic book on investing -- BUT ITS NOT
