American Airlines & Delta: No Problems
I reviewed another style of this same sherpa carrier--it's my 'go to' since I know that the two airlines I have flown with this carrier I've never had problems. On Delta and American Airlines, the carrier with Bear inside fits under the seat in front of me. A few trips ago, I began buying the upgraded seats. It costs me more but it's worth it. There's more legroom and as well I can board quickly and leave quickly, which helps when carrying a dog. I always buy a medium. Small of course too small for my dog. But the large is too big to fit under the seats--just note this that American Airline (and maybe Delta too) has limitations on carry one dog carrier size, so the medium is as large as you can go, at least with these Sherpa styles. A medium just fits my 12-14 pound chihuahua mix. Not the usual tiny chihuahua - he is beefy! He can stand up, turn around, and does well in this carrier. This one has more ventilation so that's a plus. There's only one pocket, which the other style I used had two, so I wish there were another pocket. I ordered one of those soft straps that you can pull wide to fit on your shoulder more comfortably. Carrying around a 12-14 pound dog doesn't sound like a lot but it can be awkward and heavy hurrying what seems like miles through an airport. It does help, though it's not ideal. Made by the same company. I did fill out the form on guaranteed travel for the other style I had and likely will do it with this one. Never had to use it so no idea if they really do honor it. Zips at the top. Zips at the front. The bedding part is thin but it works and he's pretty comfortable in there--he has taken naps in the carrier if I have it out before a trip, or if I need to use it for vet trips. This is a 'no frills' carrier - it's plain, it's simple, but I like it because I know the airlines I fly accept it and it will fit under the seats. The price is reasonable as well.

This is a repeat purchase, which probably says it all.
I had been reading reviews and looking for a carrier when a vet emergency mandated an immediate local purchase. I found this carrier in a local feed store, and it was the only one that had the features I was looking for--manageable size (big enough for cats, small enough to carry), structured enough to not envelope an animal, but with the flexibility to get squished a bit to fit in unyielding spaces. I bought this (for substantially more than they sell on Amazon) and have been happy with the purchase. More to the point, the cats are happy with the carrier. I leave it open in the living room in a place they associate with play, and I often find them resting or sleeping in the carriers. I have three cats, and the two smaller (10 lbs each) cats have made vet trips in one carrier. The sturdy clip-on strap hooks over the headrest in the car, and I clip the seat belt around the strap (not the carrier body). The base has a velcro'd-in, removable fabric-covered board that can be taken out to clean, and a soft sherpa-covered removable pad for washing. I bought a two-pack of spare pads. These are machine washable, but come out a bit roughened up--I'd recommend giving them a hand wash unless they get dire. And the replacements are inexpensive enough to dispose of a badly-soiled pad if that seems necessary. These collapse flat for storage if desired. I'm just leaving them out for the girls to hang in so that a trip is less traumatic. Seems to work. I didn't hear a peep out of them during the last trip in. (Getting two cats in one carrier, however, was a bit of a clown act. I recommend getting both cats and the carrier in a small room with doors shut before you begin. I think my earlier shopping difficulty was trying to find something that would meet all my possible carrier needs, trying to find something convenience for a vet run AND comfortable for international travel with long layovers. Necessity taught me that the reality is we'll need this for short local runs much more often than longer trips, and if I need to, I can get something different. For today, this ticks all the boxes. If you're in the same quandary I was in, I can tell you that these are well-made, seem very affordable, and the cats are so comfortable in them they hang out there. Seemingly no negative associations. I have different colors in the event that I have to travel with three cats, so I can sort out who is where at a glance.

Reliable and comfortable
This pet carrier is great—sturdy, well-ventilated, and easy to carry. My dog stays comfortable inside, and it fits nicely under airplane seats when traveling. Honestly nothing negative to say, it just works perfectly.

Sturdy, light, easy to use
Nice carrier. Bought 2., 1 for each of my cats. Sturdy. Very “unconfusing,” ie only 1 way to put my cat in (zipper on top). Light weight. Cats weigh 12 & 16 lbs. Think to play it safe went one size up.

Great Value & Seamless with Delta
Purchased the large for my 12lb poodle mix, Millie. Called and booked ahead with Delta to inform them that I would be bringing Millie. Even though the size of the large is slightly over Delta requirements, they never checked the dimensions at check in. I figure it’s due to it being soft sided and close enough. We accustomed her to the bag a few times in the weeks leading up to her first flight. She jumped right in and loved it each time. The only time she became stressed was within the airport (ATL) and it was Christmas chaos. We gave her a cbd treat and she did well. The bag has a suitcase strap and is very sturdy for being a soft shell. The only unfortunate part is that after one flight, the top corner seam started to come undone. Returned and received a new one. I think the overall look and feel of this bag is worth it and will deal with having the seams sewn if needed again because of its great size, feel and useful design. It fit well in Deltas main cabin 757-200. Would recommend and would buy again.

This is a fantastic a little pet carrier!
I wasn’t sure about these because they were the cheaper version but that’s what I needed at the time. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. Good condition, although we never use the attachable strap it’s nice they have one. I pulled everything out to just gas off immediately cause it’s pretty much what I do with everything I buy these days. But I do want to say that there were no horrible smells. May be very slight but I am extremely sensitive. I took off the sheepskin cover threw it in the wash and it has been washed a few times and still fits great. We are truly happy with this purchase. There was plenty of room and lots of viewing area where the meesh is. If I remember right I think there is only one side that is solid. I find it very handy and we leave them open in a certain part of the house and the cats love to just get in them. That’s how cozy they are! I also think it’s good for them and would highly recommend doing this so that they don’t attach these negatively with going to the vet. We take are cats for rides in these from time to time and have no problem at all. They are simple and easy. We actually had to go from the medium size to the large and I went ahead and ordered the one with quilting fabric and I am super happy with it. Cannot say enough about these very reasonably priced carriers. Ample storage for us …….but we are not big on traveling with cats. These are just for car rides sometimes and perhaps to go visit our holistic pet doc.

Well made and perfect for Southwest!
Bought for daughter to bring kitty on airplane. Worked very well! Checked with airline and this worked with Southwest because the top is soft and slides under seat in front. There is not much room for anything else in there when the kitty is in there, depending on the size of your pet. It does have an extra pocket for your boarding pass etc on the outside—very useful. It seems well made and hopefully will hold up over time, as kitty had no trouble flying!

A Great Pet Carrier!
This is a well-designed pet carrier! I bought the medium sized one for my cat, Willow, and it is so much better than the hard plastic carrier I had used for years. It easily folds away for storage, it is very sturdy yet lighter than the old carrier, it is very comfy for my cat with its washable fluffy mat and she can easily peer out of the 3 sides of its strong mesh material. I love the zippered storage pocket that I use to store collapsible travel bowls and treats. It has sturdy handles and a detachable shoulder strap that make it easy to carry Willow. It has a zippered top and a zippered front opening that make it much easier to put my cat inside it plus I know that it is more difficult for her to possibly escape from, unlike the fear I always had that the front grill on her old carrier could pop off. I also like the instructions on how to board an airplane with Willow in her carrier too. It is thoughtfully designed too, especially with the strong velcro strips that securely hold both the bottom board and the fluffy mat in place so Willow isn't sliding around inside her carrier. You will not regret buying this pet carrier!
