I'm also a happy Woot (poor cousin of Amazon) shopper. The bike was well packaged and easy to put together. The brakes a little bit tricky maybe. No reason to take it to a bike shop IMO if you're patient with a few adjustments. On the bath scale it looks like a 30 pound bike. The seat ain't too great but none of em are. Worth the coin.

It's a great bike, especially for the price
It's a great bike, especially for the price. It was a challenge to assemble with the brake alignment but I'm no expert and this type of bike needs to be assembled correctly. I went to the local bike shop and they took care of it for a very reasonable price. It rides great and the quality is amazing for such a low price on black friday.

A very good bicycle for the price
This is an excellent bicycle especially given the price. After the assembly and then a quick tune-up at a local bike shop, I took the bicycle for a quick 15 mile ride. The quality of the bicycle is very good. The derailleurs made very quick gear changes. Compared to my previous bicycle (a 29" Iron Horse), it is much lighter and accelerates quicker. Certainly would recommend it, especially if one can find it at Woot.com for $299.
