I bought these to replace the original worn cleats on my foot joys. The two prong tool I already had for cleat installation was useless for removal. After a losing battle of the metal prongs shearing right through the rubber on all of the of the old cleats in one shoe, I switched to medium sized needle nose pliers and they came right out. For installation: clean any excess debris out old of the mounting holes and apply some dish soap or soap foam for lubrication. Insert the cleat and Rotate counter clockwise with medium pressure until it drops in then rotate a quarter turn clockwise to lock it in using a lot of pressure. Failure to follow this process or similar process will make this way more difficult at the fit is very tight, or the cleat may not fully engage all in all three slots. Make sure the cleat is all the way in, you can peal it off with minimal finger pressure if all three slots are not engaged. So check this on each one before finishing. Hope this helps!

Definitely worth buying. I’m not sure why I never thought about changing my spikes before but it’s like getting new shoes. I had Travis Mathew shoes and the spikes were more of a hard rubber material that got torn up after 8 months or so of heavy use. The rest of the shoe was fine. These seem to be more hard plastic which I think might hold up better. They give excellent grip.I would buy these again. I only gave it 4 stars because they aren’t exactly easy to replace (both removing the old spikes and putting the new ones in) … have to buy a separate tool and need a lot of elbow grease. Advice: you must hear two clicks for them to be in properly. That being said, it still took less than 10 minutes. The other con is that because they are hard plastic, they make a little more noise when walking on anything but grass.

Perfect and identical replacement for original spikes. The reviews stating they fell out did not use a tool in order to make sure it clicks a second time. Make sure you clean the fitting well, seat it properly, click once. Then get your tool and tighten until it clicks again. No complaints!
