SIMPLIFY W/ THIS TORTILLA PRESS WITHOUT THE MESS
So I just got this product because I've been seeing my son-in-law use it for about 4 years now and when I was little my mom had us make it tortillas every weekend she had 14 kids so making tortillas for 16 people for the week meant we had to knead a lot of dough might be one of the reasons I have arthritis in my fingers anyways with that being said I never even tried this press all the times I've seen my son-in-law making empanadas and tortillas I never asked him could I see if I can press that but since Amazon offers free shipping and free returns I thought when I get back home I'm going to get me one of those worst case scenario I hurt myself trying to press it on the contrary this thing is so simple you can let anyone use it from the youngest person in your kitchen to the oldest person with arthritis I have degenerated joints as well as arthritis in all of my fingers and wrists the worst part about making tortillas for me is all of the needing and the rolling of the rolling pin again this was so simple and if you parchment paper it makes simple even simpler because now you don't have no mess nothing to clean up even though I wipe down my product before I put it away it needed no wiping it gives you full instructions which I didn't need to look at it was kind of common sense because I used masa some warm water and I put seasonings that I liked in it I used turmeric and black pepper and almost everything that I cook so I put that in there with some salt and pepper garlic and onion powder and Bam I had this tasty tortilla for my chorizo and eggs now I like my tortillas very flat I prefer them flat as a spring roll wrap you're not going to get it that flat but after I pressed it pressed it between the palms of my hands to get slightly thinner and with my last one I didn't do that just to see if I would like it and not only did I like it I loved it especially cuz I had all that flavor in there I would say if you want to save some money on buying dozens and dozens of tortillas you want to get this for me I am the only one in my household who needs a tears I bought it because when I run out I don't like to run out to the store to buy more tortillas but I'm not a bread eater so many times I won't eat if I don't have tortillas when I need them for my food and I need them everyday now me I have tasted tortillas at my son-in-law's house that were sitting in the refrigerator overnight and I personally rather have mine's fresh so I will definitely be using this pretty much every day I'm sure because I eat tortillas if not for breakfast then for dinner I can't speak on the quality right now it seems like it will last a while long as my husband don't touch it never even touch my son-in-law so I didn't know this was metal I thought it was plastic because it looks plastic but I have the gray cast aluminum 8" one like he does because the black one cost like three times more🌮💝🌮

Okay product
I like this tortilla press but it doesn't have the strength we need to make the tortillas the way my family likes them, we will keep this one for our smaller kids to learn with because it feels like a toy honestly, as is it is easy to break. It may a great tool for those who don't normally make latino and or native american foods to learn with as well, but this will never be a great tool for actual and or heavy use, such as holidays and family gatherings or even a normal family meal. Thanks for idea and the nice toy for the children?

Works Wel
I purchased this press to make smash burgers and it makes them well. I put an 8"d parchment paper on the bottom press plate, put a 2oz ball of 80/20 on the parchment, then another parchment on top of the ball. Squish the ball till it's 1/8" thick. Get 8 patties out of 1 lb of 80/20. Then I put the stacked parchments in a zip lock then into the freezer for an hour or so. I heat the frying pan to medium high, pull the parchment off one side of a frozen patty, slap it down into the pan and peel the 2nd parchment off. Because the patties are so thin they can be flipped in about 1 to 1-1/2 mins, then put the cheese on and cook for another 1 to 1-1/2 mins. I have not used this press for tortillas yet but after seeing it's performance with 80/20 I believe it will work well for flour and water. You can get the 8" parchments here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQZ8Y6F?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Having said all of that, there is a minor issue. There are 2 points on the handle and the top press plate where intense pressure and friction occur. The whole press is painted with a thick light gray paint. Where the handle and top press plate meet the paint will quickly wear off and could possibly get in your food. I used a rotary tool with a sanding sleeve and removed all of the paint in those areas. I don't expect that to be a problem any more.

Doesn’t flatten very well
I bought this because it was less expensive than the cast iron tortilla press, and it had decent reviews. This is one of those times I wish I just paid a little more. This tortilla press is sort of flimsy and makes thicker tortillas. I’m thinking of donating/giving this away and buy a better one.

Quick, Easy, and Perfect Tortillas!
This tortilla press is so handy! The 8-inch size is perfect for homemade tortillas, and the silver finish looks sleek and sturdy. It makes pressing dough quick and effortless, giving me perfectly round tortillas every time. Honestly, it turned taco night into a fun little kitchen adventure — I’m obsessed! 🌮✨💖

Compared with my previous wrought iron tortilla press this was too lightweight and not as capable of getting a good press and nice thin tortilla as I'm used to.

The press works well. Only minor criticism: the handle is wobbly.
