The head of this unit appears to be better quality than the one from Home De*ot it replaced which cracked inside at the inlet and outlet in less than two years. I always use Teflon tape and pipe dope to seat all plumbing pipe fitting joints without applying excess force. So it wasn't that that caused the last one to split, jut poor quality. The pressure release valve is a screw out type (see photo: slotted head screw on wall side) with a seal which did not require a lot of tightening to reseal it after its been open. It will probably last longer if you don't over-tighten it. Stop tightening when it stops leaking after the water is back on. I like this type better than the push button type which is prone to rusting of the spring behind the button. Then they leak. Overall it looks like a step up from the big box store brands. My filter housing arrived with a broken mounting bracket. After emailing the seller they responded within two hours and shipped a replacement the same day which arrived four days later in Phoenix. So, great customer service. I did not subtract one star for the broken bracket (the fault of shippers) because of the great customer service. As it turned out I didn't need the bracket as the copper pipes were supported well enough. But I might later as I'm still tinkering with this new proprietary water treatment filter arrangement (that promises to end mineral build-up on the two stage evaporative coolers at this location). Yes, I would buy again from this seller.

Decided to follow a tutorial on making a hydrogen cell for my generator, these perform perfectly. If you need a generator, and are interested in running it on Hydrogen; these are great. Easy to install and modify. Very durable materials.

Just fine easy to use

I bought 3 of these in March 2023. Two were used in a water filter system in my garage. The othe I used at my daughter's home. One of the two at my home has developed a crack on the top cap about an inch above the threaded portion where you screw the clear plastic housing. I now have a jet of water the size of a pin hole shooting out. After removing the cap to seal underneath, the crack is not visible as it appears there is another layer of plastic covering this area. Trying to seal it from the outside does not work either as nothing seems to stick. All the time spent designing and putting this together is now cause for frustration. I have ordered another one from the same vendor to replace the damaged one. If more problems arise I will have to buy two more from a trusted manufacturer and replumb. ..........TODAY 8/9/2025 we woke up to a second one of the inital 3 leaking through the cap. These filters are obviously garbage. I now have to remove this one and replumb the system.

The only drawback I see is the "brackets". They screw on the top into plastic with screws. From my experience with units like this, the rough-and-tumble of installing a new cartridge will eventually cause that to break. SO..... one will have to secure the in and out pipe with clamps to the wall, and that will require a little building up to allow for the diameter of the casing. We put METAL pipe in either hole and strongly secure the pipe. Other than that, these are a solid value and very well made.

Generally a fine product. BUT the in and out fittings don't line up. I planned to connect 3 filter housing with union connections and they did not line up. They aren't off by much, perhaps a degree or two, but it was enough to screwup our design concept. I do like the locking collar design (rather than the more common threaded housing design I must say, but honestly, how hard could have been to make the input and output fitting align. phooey.
