Play Parachute with Handles - New & Improved Design - Multicolored Parachute for Kids

Got this for my daughters 6th birthday party. The kids had fun playing several games with it. I really expected to lose a few handles with 16 sugared-up 5-8 year olds playing with it, but the parachute made it through unscathed! The only reason I have 4 stars vs 5 is the material is kind of cheap feeling. Not soft like the parachutes you'd play with at a school or gym, but a little thinner and crinklier. But I imagine that is why this cost so much less, and like I said, it withstood very rough play, so I can't complain!

We had a large spiritual summit, and we were responsible for 1 hour of indoor sports activities for the young ones. So we decided to do the parachute game by using 2 of these parachutes as well as 5-to-7 inch knobby balls (about 25 of them for each parachute)—and we added a twist to the “popcorn parachute” game...making it into a fun game with a spiritual message.We would first start off with them getting used to the parachute by holding either the handles if they were very young (or on both sides of the handles if they were a bit older or ‘more energized’ children) and create gentle waves on the parachute with a fun story about how hot it was and for them to cool off this way; then we had them create giant waves in synchrony; then a giant mushroom where they poofed it up with air after a giant wave and just sit outside the parachute touching the edges to the ground, and finally we had them get up and repeat the same games but we would throw the knobby balls on top of the parachute (kind of like popcorn parachute)— and at some point we would yell “volcano” when there were like 15-20 balls on the parachute, and have them pull down hard on the parachute to create a mushroom like before...but since the balls were on there it would look like a volcano exploding — and directed them to get inside the mushroom as soon as they can together to avoid getting hit by the exploding balls.At the very end, we had a quick 10-min. huddle where we discussed the key spiritual message of them being at such a young age, and how important it is to keep good company and listen to the advice given by more experienced members of the Mission/our elders to avoid some of the bad things that may come at them in life (relating it back to the balls falling on them when we yelled “volcano”). We also had them speak about their thoughts and what they learned—it was amazing & refreshing what we heard from them at such a young age. All in all, it turned out to be a really fun time for the kids and us too, and the parachutes withheld the force of ~100 different energized kids rotating in and out of this game, ranging in ages of 5-13. At the very end, we used the various knobby balls for a quick game of all-out dodgeball — boys versus girls...50 on 50, it was great!

I host a little "buddy camp" for my nieces and nephews every summer. This year I added a leadership parachute bit to the camp and it was a success! The kids enjoyed themselves and now request the parachute everytime they visit. I have also found use for it in my group speech therapy sessions for my kids on the spectrum. Great tool for at home fun or healthcare services.

This was purchased for our Fourth of July family picnic. I was very pleased with the quality and size of the item. It is big enough for children to run under. The straps are securely sown onto the parachute and held strong during our many games of “popcorn balls”. I am looking forward to using this year after year.

The kids here just love playing with this parachute! It is exactly as described. One note, the first one I received did not have the handles. I contacted the company and they very quickly sent out a replacement product that was perfect.

Omgoodness my gkids are in love with this parachute for play. They had it out the other day playing like it was a tent.We're looking forward to taking it to play with the cousins this summer at my sister's.I remember playing with these at school with my kids. I was so thrilled when I found this.
