Great company with exceptional quality. It is a bit pricey but its worth it from such a high quality company. I'm pregnant and take this as part of my prenatal care. L-methylfolate is a water-soluble vitamin crucial for several cellular functions including DNA synthesis, amino acid synthesis and growth of healthy cells, particularly, red blood cells.

I have a chronic blood cancer. The oral chemo I take to treat the disease is not targeted. It affects all of the blood cells. In my case it's led to low red blood cells, leading to less oxygen and overall fatigue. My doctor recommended that I take a folate supplement. From my research, the methylated form of folate is better than simple folic acid. It seems to be making a difference, but it's really too soon to tell. My next blood work isn't due until September. I'll have a much better idea if its improved my red cell count. In the meantime, all I can say is that it seems t be working. I have more energy and I don't get as tired as I used to when swimming or working out. The price is very competitive and shipping was fast.

I recently took a genetic test and found I had a genetic mutation for the MTHFR gene, my therapist suggested I purchase this to help my body and mind . So far I have seen amazing results, the pill size is like most extended release pills , so it is easy to swallow . Great value. The only downfall is the spinach powder taste when you first swallow , after that you will not experience after taste.

I take this product daily (3 a day) to combat the effects of MTHFR (a common genetic mutation that prevents the absorption of folic acid through the normal pathways). This 'broken down' formulation of folic acid lets it get where it needs to go in order to help me get the dose I need to get and stay healthy. This is the brand my doctor recommends.SUPPORTIVE UPDATE: Shortly after writing the review above, I started feeling really awful - exhausted, 'foggy' all day, just overall lousy and lethargic for about 2 months. Another person I know feels the same way about it that I do. If you have that genetic mutation, please try this product and give it some time, increasing the dosage if needed, to see if it helps you. I think it's a miracle supplement. It's the only thing I've ever taken that had made a noticeable difference in how I feel.

I need to take B12 supplements (shots), on account of stomach issues, and one needs to balance B12 intake with folate for proper nutrition. After a year taking this supplement, a blood test verified my folate level was it they needs to be. Personally, I can't feel any benefit from the folate, only from the B12, but since my doctors say I need to take them together, this is the brand they recommend (they are an allergist and a GYN who work at the same practice).
