There is no no button. Petzl ID is the one with a button. But this one locks auto magically. They previous model u had to lock yourself.

Q: Does his work with 10.5 mm static rope?

The 2018 Petzl Rig in black is designed for ropes from 9mm to 11.5 mm

Q: Does this one have the panic feature?

If you let go the default is to stop goes into a stop mode has a spring lead that pushes back into a break in mode

Q: Will this work with 1/2 inch rope?

This is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm rope. A 1/2 inch rope would be too big to work with this item.
