The all-metal construction ensures that the jig won't bend or bend when joining the board for a stronger, more stable joint. The JointMaster comes with three drill blocks, allowing you to create joints using the most common dowel pin sizes - ¼", 5/16" and 3/8". Each hardened steel drill block is adjustable to accept and align the center dowel hole of the board from 1/2" to 3". Built-in scale helps to align and center dowels. Convenient centering marks allow you to place the hole where you want it. If you use a standard 1/2", 5/8", ¾" or 1½" board, the included 3 spacer blocks will automatically align the drill block to help you select the right dowel size. To eliminate alignment issues, the JointMaster has a built-in edge stop. Simply lower the board, tighten and place the board and make sure both boards have dowel holes in the same position for a solid joint. When creating surface joints, three dowel alignment slots allow you to easily transfer the position of the edge dowel to the surface of the board. JointMaster's self-clamping design eliminates the need for additional clamps to complete projects. You can move the clamp from the body to the clamp wall to create different joints. You can remove the clamp body completely according to your project needs, and use your own clamp solution.
