Studio-Quality Gear That Paid for Itself in a Day
I bought a number of SmallRig and Rokinon products, along with Blackmagic and RODE gear, on the recommendation of a professional photographer and videographer as I was putting together a professional-grade kit for my company to produce in-house videos at scale. I couldn’t be happier. The full kit cost about the same as a single day’s shoot with a high-end production outfit. With a bit of training, we’ve already produced more than a hundred videos and turned it into a social media engine for the business. The setup has been fundamentally affordable, incredibly effective, and surprisingly approachable for non-specialists. Across the board, every product has felt professional-grade but still learnable for an amateur willing to pay a little attention. Five stars all around.

Amazing Camera
This is one of the most hyped and reviewed cameras around. Not much I can really add other than it's still an amazing choice in 2020. Sure, there are 6k+ options, but as it is 4k is a bit overkill honestly and is not going to be obsolete any time soon. Just a reminder, this is a cinema camera so no continuous auto focus and no in body stabilization. Also, no flip screen and the battery is horrendous, maybe 30 minutes of max. I live in a really sunny area so maybe this won't be an issue in other places, but the screen is also not viewable outdoors on a sunny day. If i had to guess, it must be like 250 nits or less. Just make sure you are getting this because it is what you need and not because of the hype. This will be great for documentaries, narrative work, interviews, etc. It will also work fine for music videos, weddings, etc, but if that is what you will use it for 100% of the time then maybe there are better options. It is also definitely not the choice for vlogging, that is just a bad idea. I use it for multiple uses so while it may not be the best for some, I can't afford multiple camera systems, so it works well for me.

One of the best cameras I use.
One of the best cameras I bought and still I am using. The quality of the sensor is exactly what matches my needs and taste. Best in combination with so called “vintage” lenses. Great dynamic range, beautiful “texture”.

Great support and value for the money
I called support when I needed to update the software to the latest version and I was able to get somebody on the phone within around 5 minutes to confirm with me the latest software versions available for my camera. Additionally, the interface is extremely easy to operate and the buttons make working this camera easy. I’m extremely happy with this purchase! I was comparing this to some options that had auto focus, but if I was operating on a budget, I wouldn’t have chosen this camera, I have equipped it with the number of accessories, one of which includes the PD movie lidar system to solve the auto focus hurdle. Well, most people use his camera will shoot in RAW or “film” I do like the color grading that comes out of the “video” mode. I mostly work with small businesses for creating high volume content. if you’re considering purchasing this camera, I highly recommend that you do so just make sure that you plan on buying some accessories in addition to the camera, my total build cost to get this camera to where I wanted it is closer to $3.5k - If you’re working on a tighter budget, and you’re not too terribly worried about speed, and you’re OK with putting in a lot of learning and manual labor into working your camera I would say this is a good purchase. However, if you are somebody like me but you don’t have four grand to spare then I would actually recommend that you go with something else more point and shoot capable.

Worth every penny
I am using this camera mostly on the tripod sinc with out stabilizer it is almost impossible to take footage of anything. So if you plan to buy it buy a gimbal and tripod right away. Video quality is brutal, it exceed my expectation. Also you get a davinci where you can further colorgrade and get a perfect footage. Pros: - video quality - funcionality - codecs and file size - compact Cons: - battery life ( battery is more of an emergency thing rather than a main source of power. So look for better source of power right away) - none existent image stabilization (but for the price point it's fine) - huge crop factor when recording in 1080p All in all worth every penny. Update, 3 years later still my favorite camera.

Great 4k camera for cinematic quality video
The Blackmagic camera is the premium video camera for filming motion picture quality films with a focusable lens and the option to use either prime or zoom lens with this body. For my setup, I had to get a Micro Four Thirds to Canon EF/EFS mount adapter so I could use the lens set my college is using on our student film and the lens set I purchased for my camera which are EF/EFS mount zoom lenses from Canon. In order to get the most coverage, I chose the 18-55 and 75-300 lenses to cover the most range. Image stabilization is not good on this camera. You want to use a tripod or stabilizer. It's a professional cinema camera and not designed for amateur users. That said, it is totally friendly and easy to use once you get to know the settings.

Blackmagic doesn't miss
I'm familiar with the 4k and it's a great camera and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a professional video camera. I purchased a used 4k from seller 6Ave. The camera came in stellar condition despite the modest score provided by the seller. I'm more than pleased with my purchase and would recommend purchasing from 6Ave as well.
