Got what I paid for, and I'm okay with that.
This stuff is NOT overly high-quality, but I guess that's what they mean by "value" in the title. That being said, my order arrived intact and relatively undamaged. Some of the corners are slightly, and I mean slightly, crushed. Also, the tape used to close the box was stuck to the back of the top sheet and tore some of the paper during the removal process, but at least it was just the back side. The reason for the five star review is simple: I got exactly what I paid for. There are other options on here for more expensive, but if you need something cheap and you need it quickly, this is your best option. The construction isn't fantastic and it just feels cheap compared to some name-brand options, but that's why the price is what it is. The seller is about 30 minutes from my location, and I actually received my package less than 24 hours after placing the order, even with selecting standard shipping. The super fast turnaround is another huge plus. tl;dr - I got what I paid for, in a very timely manner. If you need something highly durable and professional looking, this isn't the material for you. If you need something quickly, cheaply and you don't care too much about quality, consider this product.

Easy to work with and durable in use
Well-packaged and just as described. I use a lot of this type material in my shop/studio for both models and permanent projects. It cuts, handles and glues well with hot glue sticks or with Titebond or similar glues. RECOMMENDED

One side of every sheet is not usable.
I want to give this 3.5. Pro: This is the cheapest black foam core in this size by quite a margin. That is excellent as I only really needed one. Con: This could be a big deal. You're really getting half as much as you think, in a way - every single sheet has a sticker on it. I am a freaking *expert* at removing "stupid things stuck on things" and the photo shows how badly I did. My use is one-sided - as a backer for something I printed. No big deal *unless I glue it cockeyed* then the other side is useless to try again. But if you need to build something that has to be simple and black on both sides, you're going to lose the corner of every sheet.

Excellent value
I needed black foam board and quick. I had purchased from the dollar store but needed more. Ordered these and wish I had just done so in the first place. Cutting them was easy. No fraying. No punctures from finger nails. Nice clean cuts. Exactly 20 x 30. Was hesitant in paying $3.00 each over $1.25 but man you get what you pay for!!!!! I will order more if need be!!!

Poor quality and damaged.
The quality is just bad. Not as pictured. This is more like deep grey almost black. Outer paper is clearly white dyed black and core may be also. Color not applied evenly, some sheets had slight wavesole a printer or roller applied color. Shipping was im a box with zero padding and the majority of all 4 corners on most sheets was bent meaning if you wanted at least some perfect edges, forget about that. This product is only good if you need near black and the quality is lot critical and you are willing to have smashed corners or blemishes. I needed this for a permanently displayed item and it just looks bad so will return. See images for details. Black backpack strap placed on not quite black foam bird or reference. Even worse against black painted metal or another true black. A small difference would be om but these are just low quality. I guess thats why it costs 3x as much in the stores.

works great
the main thing to note is unlike other foam boards, the surface is a thick paper material instead of plastic. Still a great choice for craft projects

Quality and Easy to use
This is a great product for projects! I used a razor blade and rotary cutter. The over paper did not rip or drag. Product was crisp and came undamaged. Highly recommend. I wallpapered it with self adhesive paper to press into the back of shelves and made a stand for a statue.

They're okay, but inconsistent in size and edge cuts
I needed to cover a good-sized area, approx. 5' x 5'. That meant I needed panels to be aligned, and to butt against each other. But neither of those was possible with these boards. DIMENSIONS INCONSISTENT I top-aligned and secured the first two boards -- and then discovered that the bottom edges were not aligned. Measured, and the heights were off by almost 1/4". So then I measured all of them, and while a couple would be the same as each other, there were varying heights and widths -- they just weren't cut evenly in production. So, I had to group them in close-enough sizes, and choose specifically how to place them. This still meant I had to cut across the boards at the bottom to make it even. EDGE CUTS The first two panels did butt together at the edges. But the next one didn't -- the cut was at an angle, so when the boards were butted together on the backboard, there was a gap between them on the front-facing, visible surface. So then I had to look at all the edge cuts, and a number of them were not only angled, but also not cut straight. For example, a board would be 20" wide at the top, but 19-5/8 at the bottom. And when the edge was cut at an off-angle instead of straight, many just wouldn't align or butt up to each other. I ended up having to cut a number of them to get an even dimension and straight edge -- which is not easy on a 20" or 30" length. I never got it perfectly right. And, wherever you make a cut, the black flakes to reveal white underneath, so it's ragged and very visible. I had to do several edges with a black sharpie to try covering the white. Ultimately, I just couldn't use several of the boards, but had enough to get the coverage pretty close. It was still a frustrating process though. If you just need a single board or two together for a project or display, you'll be okay. But if you need any precision-ish fits, just measure each board first, and definitely check for straight cuts along all the edges.
