If it can hold up for me, it can hold up for anyone.
Like the headline says, my Galaxy s5 is touted as being "waterproof" and for the most part, it is. This is very important to me - I work with marine mammals and have my phone around water pretty much every day of the week. While, over the years, it has survived being dropped in a running sink, being submerged in saltwater and even nearly ending up in a dolphin's mouth, it began acting funky a few months ago. My phone would insist that there were things plugged into the headphone jack. The screen would go on and off on it's own. The phone in general was acting buggy - like my old phone had done when it was exposed to water. But Samsung! You said this thing was waterproof! What gives? Well, after messing around with it for a bit and trying a few things I narrowed my moisture problem down to the headphone port. So I ordered these and my S5 spent a few nights laying in desiccant, and wouldn't you know it, problem solved. Now my phone is, confidently, watertight. No more issues. Now I can continue putting my poor phone through water-related situations that no other phone (or sane phone owner, for that matter) could imagine being put through. Hey, at least my phone gets to live the dream of swimming with dolphins right? This thing has truly been put through the paces. I would, however, only recommend it as an addition to already-waterproof phones OR for a phone being placed in a waterproof case as insurance. Obviously, it isn't going to magically waterproof a regular phone.

Works great
Works great for keeping the lint out of my iPhone charging hole. I was concerned that the periodic lint removal would damage the electrical contacts. There is no more concern. The plug for the headphone hole is metallic, so I elected not to use it out of concern that it could short out the audio amplifier. I never use the headphones, anyway.Product Update: After a few weeks, I have lost both of the plugs for the charging hole. I removed them, set them aside, then forgot about them after charging. Several times I found them, but now they are gone and I have ordered the ones that stay in the hole and connect magnetically to a cable for charging. I plan to keep the dust out and never loose the plug again, because I will not remove it until I upgrade my phone.I suppose this is still a good product, but I didn't devise a way to keep track of the plug while I was charging.

No More Dusty Ports!
These port plugs work great for keeping my ports clear of dust. I used to always get dust in my audio jack and lightning port on my 5s, forcing me to clean them out every few weeks so I could actually charge my phone or plug in my headphones. With these, I don't have to worry about dust anymore. And they are low profile enough that I often forget they're in place when I go to plug in my charger. Not sure about the other reviews that say these fall out, but these stay in place on my 5s. I haven't lost any yet, but I have walked out of the house in the morning forgetting to put the lightning plug back in. I saw one reviewer that tied the two plugs together with thread, and I might try that. Still, the fact that the set comes with 5 pairs of plugs gives me some backups.Overall, great product. I'll be looking at getting port plugs like these for all my phones in the future!

Gets loose over time
When new, the lightning port covers plugs in snuggly. This might work better if you have a modern iPhone with wireless charges installed at home and work.Over time though, it starts to get loose if you are the person who constantly removes it for charging, etc. Skin oils appear to be the culprit. You will lose the lightning port covers, but the headphone port covers works fine. Not too worried about it getting discolored, though.

Good protection for your iPhone!
I had to take my iPhone 6s Plus to the Apple Store after charging problems caused the battery to go to zero and it wouldn't charge. I thought the battery was bad. Once the tech came to help me at the Genius Bar he took a look at my phone and asked me if I carried it in my jeans pocket all the time. I said yes. He said "here's your problem" as he took a metal pin and pulled out a quarter inch of pocket lint from my charging port. Problem fixed. I immediately looked for port plugs on Amazon and found these. They're perfect. Fit well, easy to insert and remove. My ports are protected. But be careful; they're clear and small - easy to misplace. But work great!

Well, plug my ports!
I have been using these port plugs for 3 months now and I am still on my first set! I know, right? I haven't lost any yet, but I'm sure I will. That's why I bought the 5 pack, which I feel is a good deal. I don't use the headphone jack so I have put the plug in and left it - it's stays in without losing a grip. The power plug is removed almost daily, so it has been in and out quite a few times in the 3 month period and still has a firm grip in the port. I hope I don't forget where I put the rest of them when I finally lose a port plug - and I know I will.Good product and good price.

Same as other plugs. Wish it was more flushed
Simple. Just like any other plugs. The metal pick thing on the headphone jack plug fell out though. I think it's for picking at the reset button or cleaning the mic holes, but either way the metal part easily slips out. I wish it was flushed with the iPhones's body. It does stick out by a dime's width. I like it especially because I work in a restrarunt where my pockets are dirty and wet sometimes. It came with 5 pairs of plugs (10peices). I lost 4 pairs already cause I'm a clutz.

Great item
Arrived quick. Just wish they provided some instruction. I know you just pop them in the proper spot but the headphone plug has a little metal post in it. I wasn’t comfortable sticking that into my phone so I took it out...not sure if that’s what you are supposed to do

they work perfectly..but i find i haven't been using them anymore, was too much of a hassle to take off and put back when i needed to use the plugs and they were too easy to loose...
