You can turn on Scan-mode, then the voices will auto switching every 15s in split-screen mode, so there's no need to be anxious. The reason for this setting is that if the device transmits sound from 2 cameras simutaneously, it will cause confusion.

The screen will turn on when detecting a sudden voice or noise, like crying and shouting from the baby, and the screen will turn off automatically when the room is quiet for saving battery. There are 3 levels of sound sensitivity to choose from.
